So just taking a leap of faith on this lineup while putting vacation time for the year today. Past 2 years have done 4 fests total and this year with getting ready to save for a honeymoon decided to cut back to 2 fests and instead of voodoo and life is beautiful which I’ve done the past 2 years and loved am gonna try my first ACL. Every year i wanna go and have missed so is this a good choice to try for the first time?
idk based on their dates they'd have a show in Hollywood on the 11th, fly to Austin, and then have another Hollywood show on the 13th. Also them coming to Houston, Dallas first it might not be such a get as Paul.
(also also, theyve got the symphony deal going on as well, has a headliner ever had a symphony backing at ACL?)

I didn't even know there was tour dates out! Also was unaware of the symphony Never mind me!
it almost lines up with not having any early Oct. dates, they could maybe just do a classic show in between, but Townsend seems to be "done" with the old way of doing things/wouldn't sign off on tour unless there was new music, so who knows.
The Who weekend One only? Would be a weird legacy act split. That gap in dates is odd-looking, but many they just worked it that way so they could hang out in Colorado and L.A. longer.
Reddit keeps auggesting Billy Joel but no way that dude does a friday acl show then the rangers ballpark saturday. He almost never performs back to back nights anymore. Its possible we dont really have an “old” legacy act this year.
Ariana Grande . Tool . Childish Gambino The Strokes . The Lumineers . Zedd
Tool v Zedd Ariana v The Strokes Gambino v The Lumineers

Jw I’m not even really a fan of the cure which is i know is crazy to most but wouldn’t they be considered a huge legacy act? I would see them for sure out of respect of their music but would definitely prefer The Stones and really want The Raconteurs at this!

Just thought looking at past lineups. Who do y’all think will be the big hip hop headliner/headliners?
Since Gambino rescheduled his whole tour and is doing fests would be cool to see him make it up. Also if Kanye wouldn’t have said he’s done with fests this to me would’ve been the perfect year for him there.
Also could see Tyler the Creator or ASAP Rocky in a top 8 spot possibly. And wouldn’t mind seeing J. Cole if possible.
