Only conflict I recall being bummed about was Neil Young and Crazy Horse vs Jack White in 2012. I wanted to hear those White Stripes songs with a full backing band. Of course I chose Neil and it was f'n epic. Heard most of Psychedelic Pill before its release. That was probably my favorite headliner I've seen at ACL.
Its usually countered pretty well though, Cure/GnR probably unlikely for example. OutKast/Beck, and then metallica/justice (was originally Trav Scott) are the only two I've been really bummed about since '14.

I would like to see video of that during Sir Paul last year. I wonder if it was heavily attended. I remember stragglers from Sahara at Coachella coming over to Paul's set on about the second encore.

Id rather them have used the $$$ from the SD for more flames during Sir Paul. He obviously doesnt even need flames to begin with butn if your going to have em, fire away.

My absolute favorite Cure track, though for what it's worth, they've recently mainly played it when they do Disinetgration-heavy sets. ACL 2013, Weekend 1 got the Disintegration-focused one and Weekend 2 got a Wish-focused set. Expecting two drastically different sets again, much more so than any other name on the lineup.
Some guy on reddit claims to have the scoop that Tame will be Friday and Bino Saturday.

Saturday is stacked. But man Friday having GnR Tame and The Raconteurs and then Saturday Gambino The Cure and Billie is gonna be brutal. Then Sunday just seems pretty light was hoping for one of those acts to split up Mumford with the fiancé. These others splits are gonna be too hard. Gotta see The Raconteurs over anyone tho.
For my taste, the lineup is fairly evenly spread out over the three days, too.
Yes, I agree, it works out for me also for weekend two. Was really hoping to see Robyn, but knew I would not if she was against the Cure or Gn’R. This works out well.
