sucks about GnR/Tame, and I guess I'm never seeing Gambino live, but I'm going to this to see the Cure and Thom for the most part so everything else is gravy.
Thom isn't that big. And recent HAs have been bigger, Flume, Weezy, St V, Bassnectar, etc. It's a lights dependent show and HA tweener is one of the few dark sets.

I mean, artists like Bassnectar and Flume have played HomeAway. Thom's crowd is not going to be that big, I wouldn't think. You may be right but he easily could play HomeAway.
I'd expect Childers to draw a bigger crowd than him in Austin.
I could see RL Grime getting that HomeAway slot, too, though.
GnR v Tame is brutal but Raconteurs v Thom would be unforgivable. I dont think they do that. Raconteurs v King Princess or RL Grime with Thom closing HomeAway as mentioned seems more likely. ACL usually gives surprising main stage bumps.

I’m probably gonna do first half of tame and last of GnR if the schedule works out for the Raconteurs full set before both. I know I’m gonna split Gambino and The Cure just not sure which half yet.

I really wanted Tame, the Cure, and Robyn to be split up and Thom, James Blake, Lizzo. So, this feels like Christmas morning a bit. Seeing the Raconteurs in Pittsburgh in August, so if they're great I'll run back and forth to see them if I have to. Hoping on catching Jenny Lewis to and working my days around these. Curious about the schedule, but this day by day was a win. The three days just seem really evenly split for my taste though. With that said, I would also really like to catch Kaytranada, and Friday is looking a little crowded.

GNR vs. Tame would devastate me if I hadn't seen GNR before. I fortunately have, and GNR were mainly a bucket list thing for me to begin with (as opposed to The Cure, who I will see as many times as I can before they call it a day), so I'll be at Tame. A Raconteurs aftershow would kill the sting of this increasingly likely Thom clash, but I'm pretty happy with these daily breakdowns otherwise. We'll circle back to this once the schedule's out, of course.

Yeah, any rumors on aftershows? Would love Thom, James Blake, Lizzo, Jenny Lewis, Kaytranada, BANKS, etc. That would definitely make Friday more manageable for me. Remember catching Frightened Rabbit and Julien Baker, I think on Thursday of weekend 1 2016, the only year I went, and it definitely increased the enjoyment of the entire weekend and lessened the sting of missing Julien Baker at the actual festival.
Leaning towards just doing two single days for The Cure and Robyn. Might consider a three day if Thom and Raconteurs don't conflict. Will also be really disappointed if Kacey and Lizzo conflict which seems probable.

Couple things going on:
I'd say it is top heavy if only because of how good the first five or so lines are, particularly the top three. If certain things up there conflict, it will diminish the overall quality of the weekend, clearly. Kacey/Lizzo would mess with a lot of people.
Undercard has a lot of good stuff on it, but unfortunately a lot of what I know is good are weekend exclusives. Stuff like Weyes Blood, Men I Trust, Denzel Curry, Fidlar, along with other stuff I've seen people mention on here like IDK, Yanya, etc. being both weekends would go a long way.
I might have to do some research once the schedule comes out to fill my days, but I think there's probably enough good stuff that I don't know to make me happy.
There are less names on Friday compared to other days, but I also noticed doors are 12 pm for Friday and 11 am for Sat & Sun. So there might not be more additions after all.
The crowd age difference between Saturday and the other two days is going to be insane. Childish and Billie are going to bring out all the kids.
I realize Saturday will always sell out quickest by pure virtue of it being Saturday, but I feel it's especially true this year. I could see all Saturday passes for both weekends flying in under an hour while the other two days are still up for weeks, if not months. I'd also like to avoid the main stage completely on Saturday if possible, cause that crowd is gonna be a hellhole.

Mr Brownstone is great, but the only one of those I'd be super bummed to miss would be Live and Let Die, and fortunately I saw the man himself do it last year.
It will be interesting whether Tame and GnR start at the same time or end at the same time. Ideally the former, as it means less walking back and forth, but if I can see Welcome to the Jungle or some shit early in the GnR show, that'd be cool too.

Working my way up the Sunday W2 undercard. Lots of good stuff so far, tbh. Julia Jacklin (singer-songwriter), Caroline Rose (uptempo country/rockabilly), Sego (90s-style alt rock), IDK (hip-hop) all seem worth checking out. Carol Konka (Spanish-language rapper, clubby) could be fun.
IDK does some stuff with Denzel Curry, so I wonder if both being W2 is just a coincidence.
Weird that Kat Dahlia is so low. Based off YouTube viewership she's the second-biggest artist of the day after Mumford. One song has 51M views. Not really my thing, but she might be opening a main stage and just generally blowing up.
