They switched up their setlist at Glasto where they were playing Apocalypse Dreams as the main set closer, but every other festival I've looked at it's in the middle of the show.
It's actually usually been the main set closer at festivals. The only times where it is in the middle of the set is when they utilize the giant ring. I believe the only fests where that has been the case is Coachella and Lollapalooza, due to the stages being able to accommodate it.

Besides Glasto and the two you mentioned what other festivals have they done?

Lowlands, Pukkelpop, La Route du Rock, Flow Fest, Oyafestivalen, Osheaga, MO POP, Splendour in the Grass, Southside Fest, Hurricane Fest, Northside Fest, Garden Fest, We Love Green, Primavera Sound, Boston Calling, Corona Capital, and Shaky Knees.
Have yall seen GNR live or are you just assuming they're not great because they're older? Because I saw them on their reunion tour in 2016 and they were great.
Yeah, whoever's standing for that is not necessarily.. what's the word... correct? Their show is fantastic, and the core members are still STRONG. Axl is frankly showing off with his vocals.
The only downsides of the GnR show... the long songs eventually feel REAL long (and there are many of them) and the vibe/lyrics are definitely problematic in 2019. This music came out 30 years ago, so "Turn around b*tch I've got a use for you... besides, you ain't got nothing better to do, and I'm BORED!" doesn't exactly resonate.
But Axl, Slash, and Duff are still ballers, and many of the songs are the HEIGHT of arena rock. "November Rain" has 1.2B views on YouTube, and that's not even the song most people think of when you cite Guns 'n Roses.
Also, not that I care, but what the flock is up with Cardi B playing for AN HOUR? I thought she was a headliner?!?
In Bloom Festival 3/18-3/19 Houston, Texas Rock Werchter Festival 7/5-7/8 - Werchter, Belgium Mad Cool Festival 7/12-7/14 - Madrid, Spain Austin City Limits 10/5-10/7 - Austin, Texas
I have mixed feelings on GCJ. I’ve seen him about four times, most recently in April. I wasn’t going to go but the tickets were free (which should give you an idea of where I stand on him).
He’s a very proficient guitarist but his songs are the same old blues rock jams I’ve heard countless times. He’s never going to be the worst choice for a festival or night out, and it may be enjoyable enough at the time, but it’s all just a little uninspired and forgettable. Gary Clark Jr is basically an airport Applebee’s.
But at least you're eatin' good in the neighborhood

Schedule is now up on the website so you can view it in a non-garbage format. Also a better indicator of where each stage is located (I assume).
On another note, Brittany Howard's solo tour has started, and for those curious, it looks like she won't be peppering in any Alabama Shakes cuts if you were hoping to hear any.

Bama Shakes are toast correct?
Nah. I read somewhere that these songs dealt with more personal issues she preferred to release separate from Shakes material.
I just realized that GnR got 2.5 hours and the Cure "only" got 2? I know 2 hours is pretty good for a normal festival set, but the Cure regularly play much longer than that. What gives?

They got 2 hours in 2013 also so it's what I expected, even though I'd like longer. What puzzles me is Mumford getting 2 hours also.
At least they're giving Thom 75 mins. Even when he's not a headliner, C3 is maintaining that good relationship with him.

The Cure are in festival mode and haven't been playing marathon sets this year. I would have expected 2:15, but 2 hours will still get you most of the songs they've been playing this summer. I'm not even expecting more than 2.5 at Daydream, and that's their fest.

Late night shows have been announced. I was hoping for something of interest on Thursday or Sunday since I don’t want to leave the headliner sets early on Friday and Saturday.
