Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I’ll be there weekend 2. My girlfriend really wants to see Robyn and this is the most feasible for us. I’ll be there for Thom, James Blake, Rosalia, and The Cure.
Nothing really wowing me for Wk2 LNs (no reason to not see Blake at the fest), but RL at Emos is probably a fun time. Perine at Antones also sounds nice but probably won't be able to make it with doors at 730
I don’t know where Scoot is, but I’d love 2 doses of The Comet is Coming. Fuck no time to get there and stupid fucking Austin 2am hard close. That show should start at midnight. Dicks.

That would be the main one I’d want to see as it would free up the Raconteurs conflict. Scoot Inn is east of 35 and I still have never caught a show there and want to. Not going to be leaving the fest early that night, however.
Damn, I really wanted Jenny Lewis to be weekend 2.
I was looking over her recent set lists and they look really fun. I doubt I’ll catch much of her at the fest, so I might look into this late night for weekend 1
Scoot Inn is pretty under-rated. It feels like a smaller, wide version of Stubbs with a similar canopy. There is a bit of a bottle neck from the entrance to the back bar during packed- sold out shows. There is also a small bar on the inside. Parking is where you get fucked since it is in the middle of a neighborhood with tons of permit parking so Lyft/Scoot your way there.
After shows are pretty meh, imo. Idles at Mohawk is going to be great though.
Wow there are approximately 0 of these I want to attend wk1. Quite the bummer.
How many acts do you know or have seen already? It's not bad week 1 at all. There's shit that most people would be happy to have at a festival itself:
The Comet Is Coming (awesome fucking band)
Golden Dawn Arkestra - been trying to see for a while
Gary Clark Jr. - Nothing spectacular but will be good
James Blake
Troyboi (good trap/grime DJ from London)
GRiZ - hit or miss these days due to the overproduction but should be a good show
There's Blackillac, Kali Uchis and other things that may be somewhat narrower in fanbase, but having 0 shows to want to see with The Comet Is Coming in the mix is what is quite the bummer. No personal offense obviously, but...

I live in Denver so am flying in just for the fest Thurs - Monday. Honestly I was hoping for Thom, King Princess, The Kooks, James Blake, or Metric. Obviously some of these are wk2 and it's just scheduling.
The Comet Is Coming - Unfamiliar but that's about to change with how highly everyone on the board is talking about them. May end up at this if I dig them. Gary Clark Jr. - Not a blues guy. Seen him at other fests. James Blake - He's wk2, seeing him in Denver right after wk1 (Wednesday). Would still have gone if I could make it. Troyboi - Not a fan of his music, but he's decent live. Not really worth the $ IMO and have the opportunity to see him in Denver if I want. Griz - Seeing this month in Denver. Sunday night will be tough with an early Monday flight. Others - Not really my type of music.
The main problem is a lot of these artists are coming through my city close to the fest as that's the logical tour progression, so it's hard to justify the spend especially for artists I like, but don't love. If I lived in Austin I'd definitely make some of these happen. No offense taken everyone's situation is different.
That's all fair. You'll get a chance to see a few minutes of them Friday at the festival to see if you want to see them after (if you were planning on Raconteurs). They are an English 3 piece free jazz ensemble that works with electronic elements. I watched some video prior to Bonnaroo and was definitely going to see them. But the live show energy was crazy and almost like an old hardcore show in the 1980's. So super fun and high energy within a primarily jazz format.
Raconteurs/Comet is definitely the shittiest conflict and was more concerned with seeing both of them than what I was going to do during the predictable GnR/Tame split.
Late nights are disappointing. There's a handful I would be interested in - especially Golden Dawn Arkestra on Friday, and Cherry/Jenny on Saturday. But that's the biggest problem - they're on days were I want to see both headliners, so it'd be a tight squeeze to make. They have zero interesting shows on Sunday - the day that I would leave early. Pretty lame.
