I was hoping they'd get at least one of Tool or System. Getting both is a no brainer plus those undercard acts. This venue is like 15 minutes from my house too.

How much are tickets to this, and do they do single days? My brothers birthday is a week before this, and Tool and Meshuggah are two of his all-time favorites (wish they were on the same day but that's life)

I think they raised the price this year. $250 for field seats and $180 for Stadium seats.. I think.

Not sure about single days though
That's pretty steep considering I really only have interest in 2 acts on each day (SoaD/Meshuggah, Tool/Prodigy). If single days are under $100, maaaaaybe in for Sunday. I'll see Tool someday (is what I keep telling myself)!

Yeah the price increase was surprising but for someone like me being so close I'm still okay with it. If you had to factor in lodging and other travel expenses that's where you start wondering is it really worth it.
I'll probably do this. Couldn't stay awake for Meshuggah at Roo and (poorly) chose Modest Mouse over Prodigy at Riot Fest so a few of these acts have been on my radar for a while. Saw Ghost back in 2013 and they've exploded since then so I wouldn't mind catching them again. Comparable Tool stadium tix went for $100 last time they were in Chicago so $180 doesn't seem TOO bad.
Fest has always had a bunch of discounts and giveaways, so I wouldn’t be in a hurry to purchase a ticket.
This was my exact thought. Social media response seems to be negative because of the down-scaling and the price remaining the same. I'm gonna wait this out because I think I'll get something cheaper than the $270 or whatever itll be after fees.
I'm gonna wait it out. The price comes out to close to $300 after fees for the two days. I have have complete confidence I'll be able to get a 2-day pass well below face. Whether it's StubHub or a giveaway of some sort, I'm in no rush.
I'm holding out until they pay me to go to this fest. Seriously though, 2 weeks before the fest is generally when they are the cheapest on Stubhub right?

When/where would be the best place to scoop up tickets for this? Thinking I'm grabbing two Sunday passes for my brother's birthday, but would love to not pay any more money than would be absolutely necessary
Not surprising. I got my 2-day for $125 when they did that sale around Valentine's Day which is just fine with me. I'd pay that to see Tool alone. I won't be heading in until the 6:30 shows each day but 6 total shows from those bands is completely fine with me. Hopefully the crowd is that much easier to navigate on the field.
