What other hiphop/rap act might headline then instead of him? Dont think there are a lot of options except him? Travis could ofcourse with a new record but he's still touring with Astroworld so I don't see that happening.
Chance isnt gonna headline. He'll do the LN trinity of Lolla, Roo and ACL as a headliner since they all have 6+ spots to fill up, and thats feasible with how those line ups are constructed. Governors Ball would headline him too. Coachella has him 2nd or 3rd depending on the day. Who cares if he has more spotify streams than Gambino, it still doesnt add up to being able to headline.
Chance is not second or third if he's booked, he's a headliner.

This album doesn’t seem to be getting as much negative feedback as the instant reviews given on this board, but one lackluster album wasn’t going to keep him from headlining anyway.

Hmm so Coachella didn’t book him last time, his LA date is in September, and looks like he won’t be at CFG with him playing another festival during same time.

Absolutely no regrets seeing Charlotte, though I’ll admit I find that Nina video kinda fascinatingly weird. (As someone who doesn’t care at all about Nina Kraviz.)
I feel like there are usually a couple of "confirmed" artists by this point in the year, or at least some strongly rumored.
Seems like people are assuming Vampire Weekend, but that was the case last year too. Anyone else?
I've heard Tycho but just people spouting on Reddit. Flume, VW are both locks IMO. I feel like Angel Olsen has to be booked as well, but that's an assumption not a confirmation.
Any thoughts on James Blake? I know his tour is short and yes we all know the album will be old by then but.....possible?
He's still a big fav of mine to either be on the second line or right at the beginning of the third line. Successful recent album, way overdue to play, could feature numerous guests...

I need James Blake to have a brand new show for me to get excited about seeing him again. I love his music but I feel like I've seen him do pretty much the same set for years. I feel the same about Beach House.

Looks pretty likely
Yet there isnt more stock being put into Day N Vegas instead of Flog Gnaw? If theyre pulling from that, then its J Cole or atracis.

When was it a requirement to have a rapper at the top of the bill anyway.
Lets see what happens when Hits Daily Double has the headliners again in a couple of months.

RYM isn't having it and TND just gave it a zero lmao.

Lana is probably a lock for this, ya? Seemed like she was lined up last year then delayed her tour and album and everything when they redid the top lines at the last minute.

Album in a month, makes sense to sub.
If people are correct about Flume and VW, there may be the 3 subs.
Justin Timberlake and Kanye West. I know it’s no fun to speculate/discuss them for another off season but I don’t see a reason for Coachella to intend for them to play in 2019 but not in 2020.

I didn’t say it wasn’t getting any negative reviews, but TND is probably the least reputable source of reviews ever and that’s coming from a fan. I don’t like any chance album really, but gauging it from people who already liked him, and the majority of reviews, it’s not really a flop with either. Fantano didn’t give either of the last 2 Eminem records a zero, and they’re are unequivocally worse than this chance album. He has the sloppiest review system ever, he’s just there for entertainment.

I still wonder about Kanye just because he is Kanye, but this has to be the closest thing we can go on.

Metacritic's a better place to go, where The Big Day got positive but much-worse reviews than his previous albums (71 vs 89 for Coloring Book and 86 for Acid Rap). But the disparity in user scores is pretty huge -- 5.0 for TBD vs 8.3 and 8.8: www.metacritic.com/person/chance-the-rapper
