Black Keys were a replacement for somebody else, weren't they? They weren't supposed to headline right after subbing.
Who says they weren't? Black Sabbath dropped but Dre & Snoop filled for them, don't think two headliners dropped out. They were everywhere in 2011-2012, it made sense why they'd book them.
Billie won't come back until her next album cycle. She'll tour her current setup for 12 months, then is almost a guarantee to headline upon return in 2021/2022 barring some huge pop movement that makes her style seem somewhat obsolete.

Ah, you are correct. Got my replacements mixed up.

Its hard to pass it up, thats just what I want you keep in mind. Go sit in that GV office and think it all over with whats available to you and make a decision. Most people would say its an easy choice, you do this instead of that, but we all know its not that easy to sort out a line up. you could get a kanye situation and you gotta scramble to come up with an ariana or a red hot chili peppers. I think theyre gonna gamble on next year big time, its just on what though.

Are you subtly trying to tell us her next album is called Keep it in Mind/Back of Your Head and that she’s already booked?

That is if she can maintain her wave. Wouldn't be the first act who went mainstream and burned up in 3/4 years (see Migos or Rae Sremmurd for example).

She has stronger critical support than those acts, but still a good point.
But acts rarely repeat, so you’re not gonna lose money betting against her being there next year

I wouldn't BET on this, but I can absolutely see it happening.
Her brand of pop (breathy "indie sad girl" ASMR vocals, vaguely dark lyrics, EDM-lite beats, bad vocal chops in the drop) is very much the flavor of 2019. Pop has also been trending in this direction with The Chainsmokers, Flume, ODESZA, etc invading the mainstream. Copycat (no pun intended) Billies are now popping up everywhere. The "Spotify sound" thebaffler.com/downstream/streambait-pop-pelly.
I can see this getting replaced by the next thing. But equally likely is her label puts a bunch of money into maintaining the wave.
This is more of a “I need to sell tickets” mock rather than a “prediction” mock but anyways...
So this is what you meant by saying "coheadliners to make things more palatable" on Reddit. Makes sense now.
After scanning through this, I would probably be in Yuma all day every day. Which is great....but not really worth the price of admission. Not enough interesting tent acts/second line acts to get me there BUT that's a personal problem and overall this would be a solid lineup.

Not really related but can I say how much I hate Greta Van Fleet for not allowing my phone to autocorrect "Greta" to "great" anymore. Then again, "great" should never been confused with Greta Van Fleet in the first place.
I'm imagining the aneurysm Danzig has when someone tells him what Brockhampton is and why they're above him on the poster.
Good mock, like you said too stacked but a good vision board.
I want them to play here so bad an an hour long set is pretty perfect for their music. I think they played their mandatory 10 shows from that settlement though so I'm more doubtful than ever about it.

Stormzy is 2nd line whether you like it or not. At least youre on the right track with BTS, but theres no way theyll share a line with another act at the top of the bill. Madeon is 2nd line too. Remember where he was last time with Porter? Prob gets a slot like Gesaffelstein schedule wise.
Instead of “co headline” poster wise, theyre trending in the direction of scheduling things that way. Having somebody that would easily have been on main just end up in Sahara or Outdoor in prime time. Look at the last couple of years since the expansion and Sahara redesign.

Stormzy isn’t getting 2nd line billing in the US. I know he headlined Glastonbury but so did Kasabian and they got 4th line the year after. Porteon got that billing because it was both of them together and still mostly because Porter is bigger. Madeon isn’t getting an industry push like Gesa did.

Check Madeon's placement on Lolla. Early 3rd line. Porter is much bigger than Madeon

Much better mock than the 1st one
I think Brockhampton is more of a #3-#5. They were #3 at Gov Ball behind Lil Wayne at #2. But the 1975 and SZA (behind Nas) were also #3s on there days. They make a lot of sense closing Sahara or outdoor
A couple months away from the headliner leaks hopefully

Stormzy will have a new album and would end up set on tackling the U.S. They’ll have to put him up there cause its finally time to showcase grime properly at Coachella. You also dont want to bury somebody like him when theyre on the ascent. Rufus Du Sol was billed in the middle 3 years ago and jumped to 2nd line this year with just having a new album plus sold out shows. So you wanna say Stormzy cant warrant the same kind of jump after crushing it at the mother of all festivals and new music coming, plus having won The Mercury? Come on...

... Yeah. He’s not nearly as popular as RÜFÜS DU SOL is in SoCal.

TME, you think we miss on Chance again?
Looks like he is likely out for CFG with him playing elsewhere in another state on one of the days.
I hope so. That turd of an album couldn’t even get #1 this week lol.
I feel like his tour dates make a ton of sense though; he would be an underwhelming headliner though. So I guess Paul has to decide if he wants him now or wait for another album cycle. Coachella (and fests in general) are becoming too pricey for lineups to underwhelm.
I want to see Chance eventually b/c of songs on Acid Rap and Coloring Book, but now I will have to sit through him sing a lot of crappy songs. And no way am I paying $160 dollars for GA on tour.
