I love the massive unearned confidence and utter certainty for hot takes. We're boardies, not like were all living in Beverly Hills working for WME and signing clients. When was the last time y'all even attended this festival vs angrily posting about it?
"Lana is 100% in/out" "Tool is 100% out/in" "I know everything, anyone who disagrees with me is an idiot"

You guys act like there was no one there last year. It still probably made a ton of money and their headliners weren’t crazy expensive. They upped capacity and didn’t sell out for the first time since 2013. If they wanted to book LDR, Travis, Tool then they can. They won’t, but they totally can and still make money.
Coldplay would be the biggest rock act that Coachella could book if they're trying to push tickets. You could get away with Lana as the light headliner if you have Coldplay and Travis next to her. I do hope she's just a strong sub though, NFR is her best album easily though. At this point I do feel it's some combination of: Travis, Lana, Coldplay, Tool, Rihanna, Adele, JT

With this being the 20th anniversary of the first Coachella there should be a documentary and it should totally be released later this year. Possibly on youtube.

That Coachella DVD from 2006 or whenever is so great. My favorite part is Mos Def chiding coachella about not booking the white stripes.

They shouldve gotten the old attendees to weigh in on it, but that didnt happen. Maybe theyll wait til 25 years to do another movie or something of the sort. They have so much footage to use. The issue ends up being the artists approving and such. Like they filmed all of daft punk in 06, but itll never see the light of day.

Saul Williams vs noel Ghallgher. Still hate the dvd doesnt even have the prodigy performance. And always love spotting myself in the radiohead performance

ALTer EGO announced. Normally all of these would be ruled out though Weezer did play both last year. That and I’d be surprised if Rex Orange County wasn’t there.

Estero Picnic in S. America the week before W1 has the Chemical Brothers, Vampire Weekend, The Strokes, Hot Chip, among a lot of other cool low level acts on it. Hope that’s a good sign!

Honestly not a bad looking top of the bill with The Strokes and Travis Scott likely having a new album out by then. Does Lana being fourth on this poster make her any less likely to headline Coachella for you guys? Surprised that Charli and Madeon are billed as low as they are here, but maybe its just because the bill seems top heavy.

Doubtful. Artists are billed far differently at international festivals. For example the Lumineers are undercard here but headlined Bonnaroo and Osheaga in north america but are billed below Brockhampton here.
