Wayyy back in the day (like my first five years) I would always have a bunch of friends interested in goin’. But as time got closer they would all bow out. Definitely a bummer as I think most would have enjoyed it and we could’ve all had a great time together. But it is a pretty big commitment, especially in your mid 20s when you and your friends all work in the restaurant business.

Yes after my first in 2018 with my lady, we convinced 2 close friends to go to the point of buying tickets and they both cancelled right before the fest. Good thing there are plenty of friends to make on the farm!

Basically have the exact same experience here but as college kids in our late teens-early 20s. I’ve told everyone that it’s definitely something they should consider and not a single person that has gone has regretted it. Only like 3 out of the 15ish people I’ve dragged along with me went once and never again. Reaching the point where if you’re in you’re in and it’s up to them if they decide to buy the ticket and take the ride, Roo with first and even second timers is often stressful when you’ve gone multiple years.

My biggest critique is the electronic lineup, the Other stage acts for 2019 were all very samey. Let's break away from the bass music genre and add in some techno DJs, house DJs, and drum n bass DJs.

I did 5-10% of every category.
i think that's wise. i wanted to show an appreciation for having a variety of genres at the festival while also providing a little more juice to metal and funk. i didn't think pop or americana needed any more juice because those are just going to be there anyway. and i don't know why they have both "rap" and "hip-hop/r&b" on there.

I suggested a psychedelic superjam featuring Kevin Parker, UMO, Kid Cudi, etc. and then on the further feedback requested more emo and punk. Wish I would have asked for comedy to come back, but I didn't think about it until now. Someone please avenge me.

ah shit i forgot to mention comedy too. but i think that's probably long gone now.
the sad part is leading up to bonnaroo this year i really thought i'd miss the comedy theater but once i was there i didn't think about it at all. i had some great times there in the past though, saw a lot of great comics.

For the three artists I said Goopsteppa, Detox Unit , and Eclair Fifi. Had Frank Ocean and Tame as a dream combo because I’m a Frank fan boii. Asked for a female headliner and more world music.
