None of these are perfect metrics, but honestly I'm struggling to find any metric in which Lizzo bests Billie, other than meme-able lyrics perhaps. Lizzo's lyrics make the rounds of social media more often from what I've seen personally but far more people are listening to Billie. Either way, both are great artists that I enjoy considerably.
The size of the crowd at ACL is not a good enough metric for you?

"Friends in Low Places" and "The Dance" are pretty much the only two songs you need to hear. i mean you don't "need" to hear them, but it's all you need to wrap your head around Garth.

Tyler headlined Gov Ball and pre-headlined Firefly. This was when IGOR just came out too. I know those are slightly smaller festivals, but still I don't think the billing would be that dramatically different. I don't think booking agents would have an artist downgrade that much for Bonnaroo either.
Lizzo is very mainstream popular now. Just look at her crowd at ACL. I know it was too small of a stage but that's still a lot of people.

yes I know he headlined Gov a ball and preheadlined Firefly. Like I said I see him being top 6 easy. I just put him 7th because Lana, Thom and Oysterhead all seem like they would be bigger. I guess switch Thom Yorke on my mock and he can be 6th. I just don’t think Tyler would care to be 6th over 7th, doesn’t seem that big of a change especially if he’s on a stage Late Night or What before said headliner. Hell he can be 4th on the lineup and it wouldn’t surprise me with the release of IGOR. I’m just saying 7th isn’t crazy to me with those other artists I put on my mock. Sure Lizzo is big and she drew a big crown at ACL. I’m sure over the years many artists draw huge crowds at smaller stages and are booked 7-15 range. What if Roo does book her like 10th or 12th? I just don’t see her as that big, and I’ll wait until Roo proves me wrong. If she is top 6, than that’s great for her. I just don’t see her name anywhere close to Lana’s or Thom’s legacy.

We can agree to disagree on most of this, but Lizzo is already billed above Tom at ACL and would certainly be billed above him at Bonnaroo.
I know he gets ragged on a bit here but I saw Billy Joel last night for the first show of the new leg of his tour and I have to say it was the best concert i’ve ever been to. I’ve seen him a handful of times and while he’s always been great, he’s got such a tight set now and has some fantastic production. As corny as it sounds, it truly felt like a celebration of life and i’d urge any of you who have enjoyed/been curious about any of his music to catch a show near you or at least give him a shot if he ends up being a roo headliner (even though i doubt he will).

Not that I want to keep debating for too long (but here I go anyways) she was underbilled for ACL. Like that's pretty much a fact confirmed by the festival. She was booked before her album really started to blow up. Her placement at ACL will not reflect where she'll be on lineups next year.
