I stomped my feet in the Bogue Chitto mud yesterday. Was very relaxing, a bit of work and a fair bit of sunburn (always good for getting roo ready). Well worth it.
It surprises rme that the Mississippi topic is one of the largest threads on this forum. Behind like Texas and the 2 21yrs and a RV, maybe another but we are on up there. We are serious about Roo!!

okay my fellow Mississippians! It's almost time!
what do you guys think.. is it better for us to drive through hattiesburg and go on to US 98 toward Columbia/Laurel I59 and cross into AL that way and go up?
OR, just take I-10 (i live on the coast btw) and just drive all the way up through Mobile and such?
my group is arguing about all of this, and the first route is what mapquest gives us, but I wanted ya'll's opinion!

Don't take I-10, it'll add to your gas costs. Go with the mapquest directions. I would have done those without looking at mapquest.

okay awesome! After discussing it with the group we decided avoiding 1-10 through Mobile would be the best.
We're leaving around 1 p.m. on Wednesday and just going to hang out at the Walmart when we get to Manchester, bc it's my friend's birthday, and were taking her car and she doesn't want to drive all night for her birthday.
