Im fine with people thinking Maddog was framed. But there is still a chance he wasn't and that mafia clipped JR because they thought they traded 1 for 1. If you agree that there is a decent chance maddog was mafia, you have to notice that potent switched off maddog then voted in his favor in the final runoff.
Im fine with thinking that was a coincidence. It very well could be. I may even switch off Potent at some point because Im not saying this is a lock.
But what Im not fine with is us leaving this connection out of the conversation for the rest of day two. I really think someone should stack on potent before round 1 ends. If we end up debunking that maddog was mafia Ill be the first to switch off of potent.
Its concerning to me that people haven't put much thought into this. Instead, we have had a greatly dissapointing day 2 so far. More on that below.
Kanye - I am suspicious of you, as Ive said before, because of your connection to potent. To follow up on what I said last time, you saved him from a runoff early on, said you hoped not to be framed because of it, got in a little argument about nothing with him and voted for him to distance yourself and correct for that day 1 blunder, and now you've switched off of him again because Dan has been all over you.
Im definitely noting that Dan has it out for you, and I think the JR new player comment is being investigated too seriously. I agree with you there.
Despite my suspicions of you, Im still leaning towards you not being mafia. I hate to be mean to you twice today (Bonnaroo Draft thread), but at this point I believe you have been an extremely distracting townie. We are a few hours from the voting deadline, and most of day 2 is consumed by nonsense bickering involving you.
Finally, Dr. Joe please dont miss this deadline. An autolynch there in round 1 would be a nightmare outcome if it means that Day 2 is concluded. Can someone clarify if that is what that would mean?

Good game overall and great job to our new(er) players! It's nice when people just starting to play are active and engaged. Having a special role helps with that. I'm in for the next one.

1. Jortles had inspector vibes from him also 2. very. We figured me or jortles was the given name with just about anyone else hence me stacking him and not dan into the runoff 3. i thought we should whack folks that weren't likely to get votes their way and he fit into that category
Sidenote: If I had to make the final call day 1 I would have voted JTR forcing the reveal if nobody changed.
Ok that makes sense. Just wasn't sure what chatter would be helpful and what wouldn't.
In that case, I'll offer my perspective on Kanye's most recent vote. I think Kanye switched early for the same reason that he's always the person to tag the next drafters and try to wake people up during our Infinity Draft over the summer and our current Bonnaroo Draft. He is impatient, always online and wants to move things along. Pretty on brand for him.
As to the part I bolded: That's the crux of the game. What's important? What's not? I need to ask myself what you were thinking when you made this post. We're you truly asking, or are you just trying to blend in? And if I jump down your throat about what you just said or nitpick how you phrased it, there's a good chance I'll be wrong. There's also a good chance I'll jump down your throat just to see how you react. That's the part of the game the burns some people and makes them hate it.
Why is Tainted so quiet? Was there anything behind the fact that Thor checked in late? This early in the game, these things are usually not worth focusing on, but take note.
This post + his new player explanation seemed fishy to me.
Cookin' Mama was so under my skin about the coaching lol. Yes I had some coaching, but it was mostly me asking if certain ideas were TOO aggressive. It wasn't much of the other way around where they were telling me what to do and how to play. At one point Carini was just like dude you can do what you want. If you fuck up its not a big deal.
With that said, I have to take full credit for switching off JTR and my wording / reasoning which Dr. Joe thought was coached. It was easy for me to pretend that I was first game town on day one when no mafia were in the runoff. If I didnt make that switch, carini would have lynched JTR and Jaz may have suspected Tainted more at the end. Its crazy that something that seemed so meaningless was so important.
And on that note, I plan to be that active regardless of role moving forward, even if it means being lynched early.
Overall Im happy with how I played my first game to hide myself as mafia, but I didn't consider what Id look like in retrospect if I was the first mafia found.
Also just curious, and I dont want pointers or anything, but was there any way to get out of that reveal? As much fun as I had this game it felt weird that one correct mafia guess on night 1 can that easily determine the outcome of the game.
Had a lot of fun and am in for the next few at least.

Being inspector was fun as hell. I’d love to do that again.
I've played or reffed almost every game (save for a suspension in the aftermath of Mafia 100) since like Mafia 76 or so, and I've been inspector once. Don't get used to it, I'd say!
