I'd rather my cooked dinner. I'm make chicken, yammy dish, green beans and wholeberry cranberry sauce. I like canned cranberry too but I prefer wholeberry.
I almost bought gnocchi yesterday at a weekly farmer's market but chickened out at the last minute and decided to get my wife's opinion since they had so many flavors. Going back next week.
What do they sell gnocchi for you to quick boil or is it already cooked and you just stir in whatever you want? I have heard it's easy to make (like potatoes egg and flour w/ maybe some baking ingredients or salt), but I've never tried to do it.
Beef on weck and potato bacon chive for me. Thanks.
That's where I was leaning. My wife likes beef on weck but is leery of beef on weck variations. Eg, I got BOW wings and she wouldn't try them. (They were good. Wings in a creamy horseradish sauce tossed in a caroway and salt mix.)

Here's the plan for Thanksgiving so far: Honeybaked Ham, and mac and cheese from there also. Cranberry sauce, GBC, and mashed potatoes at home. Dessert tbd, but probably pecan pie, especially if Honeybaked sells it.
Speaking of regional dishes, I'm making garbage plates tonight.
There are lots of variations but I'm making mine with homemade macaroni salad and home fries topped with hot dogs and then meat sauce, onions and mustard. (The meat sauce is closer to a chili than a pasta sauce.)

I'll try the macaroni salad, eat the fries and hotdog with chili and the mustard.

I had some crawfish etouffee on Saturday and was thinking of what would be a good vegetarian substitute (I feel a little weird eating so many living things at once lol), so how's this..
Oyster mushroom etouffee. Boom. Regular mushrooms would work, too, but I think oyster mushrooms would be the right texture and flavor in an etouffee.

This came from An embedded link in 538’s how to fight politically with your family. I thought about putting that link in the politics thread for monkeys, but nah. Recipe. Just add water lmao.
