Now that votes are gonna cast, I'm gonna openly advocate for a Potent/Pablo runoff. Kanye so far appears the most townie-ish to me, plus Pablo took his vote off of Potent and put it onto Kanye. Pablo's also been conspicuously quiet, and Potent quickly latched onto Kanye's idea of putting someone without votes into the runoff, which would make sense if he was Mafia and he and/or a teammate was about to go forward. Otherwise he's barely added anything to the conversation other than talk about numbers/percentages in a 4- vs 5-way runoff. Doesn't help that he's voting for me and I know I'm town, but that's just the usual townie paranoia.
But yeah I think Pablo/Potent is a good runoff.
You got what you wanted and you are contributing nothing now that it is happening. Thanks.
For the most part, people who talk too much early on tend to get votes sooner rather than later (as evidenced by the votes I soon garnered after putting out ideas). This is due to 1) townies being (rightly) paranoid about being manipulated and 2) the more you talk, the more the Mafia get to either paint you as suspicious or latch onto and add fuel to incorrect ideas you might have, further manipulating the townies, and 3) if you do end up digging too much into one of them, they get paranoid about you being Inspector and tend to want votes on you so that you'll get lynched instead of having your posts pored over if they whack you.
Because of all this, I tend to be quiet in the first round and have a bit of a reputation for it, which is why some people have pointed out than my chirpiness this Day is somewhat uncharacteristic of my usual style. Which is true. But because I saw something that I felt was worth pointing out and I have an overarching meta-desire for more engaged gameplay, I was more talkative. But then I got heat for it, so I shut up - which seems to have helped.
So yes, we got a runoff that I think could be helpful based on the way things shaped up earlier in the game. It's a toss-up for me at this point between the two of them, and I see no reason to move my vote and don't have a whole lot to add. Potent voting for Pablo earlier to help keep him in the runoff doesn't mean much to me; Potent fully admitted last game that he often (actually I think his word was "always") votes for his fellow Mafia, so that could easily be distancing.
Jaz what are your thoughts on the runoff and all the action?
I think a flurry of switches usually means Mafia activity in one way or another. But I also think on a meta-level players are trying to be more unafraid to talk and make switches, plus it seemed there were some legit issues with following the votes in a short span of time. So I weigh the activity a bit less than I usually would.

I know why you're quiet first round and I wanted to like your post last game about why I die a lot (similar/opposite reasons). I'm living up to it this game again.
I do think once we have a reveal and a confirmation or two there will be a lot of answers in front of us based on this active day 1...
You got what you wanted and you are contributing nothing now that it is happening. Thanks.

This flawed logic is putting yourself ahead of the town, and its a big part of the reason Town fails so often on Inforoo, imo. But at least you contributed on Day 1 this game.

Jaz 101. He's good at the game. He's quiet on day 1, regardless of role.
I've also noted that he's been a little more talkative than normal this game so far than normal, but that doesn't declare his role. He's the commish with 4 semi-new players.
Does anyone besides me find Agarrr's actions weird over the past couple hours?
You're not the only one. I'm not sure whether him voting for Potent actually improves my chances of surviving Day 1. At least, not until he gives some explanation.
He's a new player, so I don't want to throw him under the bus for not playing the way we expect, but I expect it not to sit well with some players.
Jaz, are you saying you think both Potent and myself are Mafia? Trying to clarify that last paragraph.
Did you miss the post from a couple days ago where I said I preferred a Pablo/Potent in the runoff and drew potential lines between you two? And then how people were wary of me saying that, and then how multiple players referenced me getting the runoff I wanted? I feel like that's been one of the more noticeable storylines of this game so far. Check out my posts if you want a recap. My thoughts haven't evolved much on the idea since then.

Im not impressed if someone is good at surviving if they aren't helping town in the process. But we can talk about this general concept after the game. Hes been more talkative this game, and I appreciate that.
On Agarrr: I cant tell if he is aware that he didnt need to make a change there. Of course, I know from personal experience last game that its easy to play dumb as mafia if you are new.
What makes you feel this way? TBH, I considered the same, because Mafia rarely reacts the way Pablo just did.
More or less, this was it. That and I had initially voted for Pablo without any real reason. Just random. Granted, there’s still not a whole lot of logic now. But, there was enough for me to flip - literally, a coin. I thought Pablo’s responses warranted at least that, and it ended up in me switching.

Tbh, I did miss the lines you drew between myself and Potent. Yes. I will have to go back and look at that. Most likely I just couldn't fathom someone suggesting they had a bead on two Mafia on Day 1, because it's insane to me.
I can give you a theory fueled by a shitload of corn that says I found 2 mafia if y'all want to hear it. Haven't thrown one of these out in a while lol

2 questions.
1. Do you have a queue of gifs/videos at the ready or are you just that quick?
2. I'm not sure if you are for me sharing the theory or suggesting something else alltogether?

I find his lack of explanation weird.
my bad - I got on real quick as a study break, decided I’d flip a coin after catching up, posted, then went back to it. I realize now I probably should have stayed on to explain, or just done so right off the bat. But oh well.

I don't have a queue I just immediately thought of that song. I think Maddog has a queue, though, fwiw.
I'm interested in hearing your theory but also we can fuck (if that's what you're into).
NOTE: DO NOT TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY. OR DO. WHATEVER
aarrgg's Who should I vote for post was meant for mafia chat, he pulled a zig. Forget who but i think was either Jortles or JTR who mentioned was he aware he didn't "NEED" to vote so if he was unaware it could easily be meant for mafia chat. Potent his partner who we all know is renowned for voting off his mafia mates says to him hey change your vote to me for distance in case someone realizes or if inspector has my name.
Sorry, while I'm all for anyone fucking anyone they want with consent, I don't swing that way. I am flattered by the ofrfer.

Just picturing Potent and Agarrr in the chat... I dont think that would be the wording. Why would he say "who should I vote for" instead of "you really think I should switch?"
