In the Bonnaroo Draft, Potent said he was going to a funeral earlier today. That combined with it being 2am est on a Sat makes me think we wont hear from him tonight.
my bad - I got on real quick as a study break, decided I’d flip a coin after catching up, posted, then went back to it. I realize now I probably should have stayed on to explain, or just done so right off the bat. But oh well.
Real question, BS is done. If it came down to a coin flip, why not just stay where you were and not draw attention to yourself?

Because, again, my original vote was completely random and Pablo's responses made me think he probably isn't mafia - just not to a the extent that I felt the need to switch to Potent automatically (because I don't really have reason to think he's mafia either). It was just enough for me to leave it up to chance. Maybe it was pointless and not worth the grief it has created, but whatever. Live and learn.

You either dont realize the impotance of the move you made or you are pretending not to.

I mean, I vote randomly on Day 1 almost all of the time. I always have on my initial vote, in all three roles.
I think communicating your thought process, even if random, is valuable information to Town. Agarr is, theoretically, operating on similar information to all seven (six other) vanilla Townies. I don't think he's doing anything wrong. I used to be very determined to lynch a Mafia member on Day 1. It's very hard, very rare. I don't want to declare it a lost cause, but I don't think we should go after brand-new players for voting randomly.

Trust me I love activity on day 1. I plan to be the king of it. Im just saying that I dont think Agarrr understands the implications of his move. I dont think he considered how big of a move it was and then said "you know what fuck tradition it shouldnt matter that Im making this switch."
I think he either wasnt aware that it was a big deal (most likely), or mafia is using his inexperience (less likely).

I think it's mostly likely he doesn't know what his vote change did, but I think that's true of a lot of people, especially on this particular D1.
There have been so many switches. I'm not a big fan of switches, because I think they muddy the waters, but let's not single out agarr as not knowing what his switch did. He's the one guy who should actually not know, as a new player (if Town, obviously).

Switches are cool because activity is a positive for town.
Idk why you are defending Agarrr as if Im attacking him. I agree that he is the most likely person to not understand what his switch meant. Thats what I said in the first place... that would be an indication that he's town more than anything.

I mean, no. I didn't initially think it'd be a big deal, which quite frankly is why I didn't map out my whole thought process when I posted my vote. But, like I said, my vote was always random. I just re-did the randomness as if this was an entire new round. I didn't see the absolute necessity of staying put in my vote for Pablo when it wasn't really grounded in anything to begin with, and I almost certainly would have done the same thing regardless of whether my original vote was in the runoff. In fact, from what I can tell, it's only being perceived as weird because my initial vote is indeed in the runoff. I get that it basically turned the tide (as of right now), but as far as I can tell, it just made it to where we lynch one person who probably isn't mafia instead of another person who also probably isn't mafia.

Discussion is a positive for Town. I don't agree that switches/activity are inherently beneficial to Town.
People seem pretty interested in my thoughts. I'm offering them, as long as I'm left.

Right now, a move that I'm uncomfortable with is carini12 move in the three way runoff. There are three people in the runoff - me, Pablo, Jaz - and two people with votes - Carini and Pablo. Carini goes ahead and votes for Jaz, which doesn't give Pablo a choice. It would have made sense for Carini to either wait or vote for Pablo, to see who Pablo wants to bring into the runoff with him. As it is, he doesn't have a choice after Carini votes Jaz.
I'm also super skeptical of Kanye's move from Jaz to Pablo after the runoff had been set, and then all this subsequent "I'm going to be the whack" talk.
Holy shit I picked the wrong time to have a busy weekend. I’m still here - gonna do a reread. With all these switches there’s bound to be mafia involved. The hard part is deciding which of the switches matters, and which were just noise.

Just to echo off of this, carini’s post about his theory he made up and “doesn’t take seriously” rubs me the wrong way. Could be the corn, could be nothing, but it stuck out to me.

I don't buy carini's story that agarrr meant to post in mafia group chat. It's his first game and he probably didn't want to make a bad decision and then get berated for it. I even asked who I should vote for at least once in this game.

Carini's theory is so off base as regards to me that I can't really even contemplate it. I guess I could believe that happened if Pablo is town, making both of us townies. But I think that's really stretching it right now. Words have value but not as much as votes at this point of the game.

I vote my suspicions, not worrying about revoters, I looked who my options were, and voted my thoughts paying no mind to who else was left to vote and what their options would be.
JR well I'm here now, playing Xbox until I leave for the Super Bowl party. What do you want to know?
I just finished watching the game too. I wasn't looking for anything specific. It was a 1v1 runoff and you were absent, not unduly.
Yeah, I guess my take on it is somebody has to die D1, and it hasn't been me for awhile, so it's kinda my turn. It sucks because I like putting the puzzle together, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.
