Haven’t seen anyone post about this yet, but it looks like Tim Sweetwood is starting a new fest on the Bonnaroo site that appears to be hard rock/metal oriented.
I don’t think it’s sleep deprivation from the 3 days I just spent in Vegas, but the FB page did say the event was located in Manchester, Tennessee when I saw the post yesterday, although I don’t see it now...

Exit 111 is to Manchester right? I've always remembered taking 114 to the Farm so that sounds right. Would be very interested if they use the same grounds or just chose Manchester because the city already has ordinances in place for stuff like this.
Have no idea when this could be or where other than the farm but that's a big venue so you have to think there's some big bands.
Some names that come to mind: Metallica, Iron Maiden, TooL, Foo Fighters, System of a Down, Ozzy, Run the Jewels
I know Tim said on Facebook that he has Mastodon booked for another festival he's working on. So they'll definitely be there.
I assumed they would be. He has a big hard-on for them. While I hope this works out, I hope it isn't just metal/hard rock and is just something that leans towards harder stuff. With it being at the farm, you have to think it'll be pretty big.
Foo Fighters - TooL - System of a Down - The Smashing Pumpkins - Run the Jewels
or if it just leans to hard stuff, I would love to see him use some country influence since it's in TN like Bonnaroo has been doing.
Metallica - Chris Stapleton* - System of a Down Sturgill Simpson - Judas Priest - Mastodon*
I'm just not sure why Tim would think it's a good idea to launch this fest this late into the year with Epicenter (NC), Chicago Open Air, Welcome to Rockville (Jacksonville), and Sonic Temple (OH) already announcing lineups. Have to think he's got something different to offer here.
Some other names: Prophets of Rage, A Perfect Circle, Marilyn Manson, Deftones*, Dropkick Murphys*, Joan Jett*, Slipknot, Slayer (?), Eddie Vedder* (maybe even PJ?), Lamb of God, Disturbed, Ghost*, Clutch*, GnR (if they want to spend the $$)
are you talking about that leaked LiveNation giveaway that listed a GnR show in Manchester as a prize a few years ago? Because I think that was supposed to take place in August 2017 and just fell through. It was going to be just them as a one-off at the venue.

yeah, those talks could have just been tabled for the time being though.
11/19: Caribou 11/22: Ranger Trucco 11/29: Armand Van Helden* 1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol
Yeah listing a bunch of metal bands must have been exhausting.
Only if you try to read them off of a lineup poster where they all use their own metallic looking fonts. I swear I've looked at some of those over the years where I have no f'n idea what the band's name is.
