Mid 80s would be fuckin’ great! Mid-day showers could be great.
Nothin’ will ever beat the weather in 2012 though!
That was glorious, and I needed a blanket! Especially compared to 2010 and 2011. At the time, those were the only years I had experienced to compare 2012 to, so I figured the heat was always ridiculously brutal and completely oppressive. Turns out it's usually only somewhat brutal and oppressive and just an uncomfortable pain in the ass.
Edit: Accuweather says T-storms possible Wed night, Thurs morning, and Fri morning, but less humid and 82 on Saturday. I'll be sure to get in early Wednesday evening and set up before the rain.
I never trust a weather forecast more than 3 days out. Here in the south we can forecast "hazy, hot and humid with a chance of thunderstorms" and be right 95% of the time...

I forgot my particular brand of sarcasm sometimes doesn't translate well to the old interwebs without smileys or gifs (hard "g", as in graphics,BTW).
hard g gifs? Or is it "j" like the peanut butter--you know-Jif...mmmmmm peanut butter......
I'm in the hard G camp, for life! This is not a matter of opinion, Jif is peanut butter. The pronunciation of "gif" without context is ambiguous, so the hard G in graphics is the determiner. And I will fist fight anyone who says otherwise. 30's-style bare knuckles boxing. They can meet me at the new arch at high noon on Roo Friday and put up their dukes, after we've had brunch. We'll go rounds. but not too many, because The Tesky Brothers start at1:30.

I'm firmly in the "jif" pronunciation camp, but this line of thinking is bull because it's literally not even a rule of language or acronym formation - someone just came up with it once as justification as if it actually means something. It doesn't.
And if you want to use it, make sure that from now on you pronounce AWOL as "ah-wol" and not "ay-wol", otherwise you're an inconsistent, hypocritical goon.
I look forward to heading over to the Teskey Brothers with you after our fight.

I didn't say my reasoning was based on a rule of language or needed to apply to all acronyms, it's just what I believe, and I'm sticking to it. It's 43% of my religion, although I am definitely a goon of some sort.
I may need to squeeze in a nap between brunch and the Tesky Bros., so the festi fisticuffs may have to be rescheduled.

It has been extremely warm and we have not had good measurable rain here for a few weeks. Unless we get several days of rain with sun in between, it will be extremely dry and dusty on the Farm.
also, Prepare for the heat. trends show it being hot.

*I clicked the like button for the contribution that is this post, NOT the content. Been praying for moderate temps and forgot all about dust. Will pack all the bandannas.
I can't believe it's only a couple of weeks out and we are still on our first weather page. Weatheroo 2015 was 21 pages long!
Must have been a lot more dumbasses on here in 2015 then...seems people have gotten smarter and just realize it's going to be hot and that there's no need to check the weather every 2 hours for this confirmation...that being said, I live one county over from the Farm, and we haven't had rain in over a week and it's been in the low 90's...hoping it stays that way for the next few weeks...I went camping at Fall Creek Falls state park last weekend thinking it wouldn't get too cold at night, but I was wrong...

F that, I'm checking the hourly predictions, hourly. Honestly though, you're right, we just have to expect it to be hot and be ready to deal with both dangerous sun and potentially annoying rain. I want to know exactly what the weather will be like but we're all going no matter what at this point and know it will be hot, so none of this worrying really matters, of course.
Hoping for moderate rain early in the week, then 75 and cloudy the rest of the week, LOL. You've all heard of rain dances but I'm doing a cool and cloudy dance daily. Perhaps the gods will abide.
I'm trying not to get concerned about the weather until one week away. Looking at a forecast 13 days out is pretty much useless.
If we can stay mostly under 90 with no storms, I'm happy
Yes, forecasts beyond a few days are just guesses based on historical trends. Yet here you are, special agent Cooper. Cross your fingers, and whatever else pleases you.

Wouldn't you LOVE to have a job where you can be wrong about 50 percent of the time and not get fired??
Looks like we're supposed to get around 4" of rain Thursday-Sunday this weekend, so that should help with the dust...grass will probably start growing fast too since we haven't had a good rain in about a month, not sure when they usually mow for Roo...forecast for the Roo weekend is mid 80s highs and mid-low 60s for lows with a 40% chance of rain on Saturday and Sunday, subject to change of course...

I'm trying not to get my hopes up but mid-80s all weekend is awesome. Hoping it stays that way.
Last time I came was in 2010 - and the heat of that year is PART of the reason I haven't been back since. I also got married and had kids and what =not so that MIGHT have played in to a bit as well.
I was mentally prepared for the scorching (and near heat stroke) I got in 2010 but as of now its looking similar to 2009 minus the rain which would be incredible.

2010 was a nightmare, if this prediction holds you are in for a treat. 11/12 of the last ROO's and 2010 was one of the worst, esp with the dust, for sure.
