uhh no I explained pretty clearly why I lean Town on JTR.
“We can wait to see if jortles gets voted out” is not enough to say that JTR is town. Especially when you consider if he’s town in that scenario, then Thor vs me was a 2 mafia day one closer. If you are town you are stabbing yourself in the foot with that logic.
I had more reasoning than that. But hey, if JTR was Mafia, hes at least dead now.
Ive acknowledged that a 2 mafia runoff would be highly unlikely. Shit I thought all of you were town. But Jaz forced you into that runoff and it would have made potents switch make sense. So its not impossible.
Is Agra's reason really that out of left field for you guys? I've made similar ones in the past.
Not trying to say he's correct or it's the best way to go about things. I just find it a little odd people are acting like nobody has ever made a vote choice based on a late addition. Typically people just mean they think it's a vote with less chance of mafia influence because of the timing or whatever*.
*Of course you could make the exact opposite argument too.
This page 2 of the game. And the first attempt I made to really influence things with the info I had.
Was trying to get Thor(and secondarily Maddag at the time) to go into more detail about why they opposed this. Also, I was trying to shed light on the fact the game was dragging and Thor was trying to get someone to bite on this.
These little stats games on Day 1 make me gag. Mafia isn't going to allow one of their own to get lynched this easily on Day 1. That's what moves me. I don't particularly like feeling like Charles Barkley shitting on analytics, but the difference here is that Mafia knows all of the stats and can act any way they want in a new game. Especially since they likely know about the stat you are bringing up.
I get your point but I think the stat Jimmy is citing is a little different because it's somewhat based on things outside of player control. Namely start time. For example, I'm just vanilla town but my role could have been anything and me voting last would have occurred the same because I didn't know the game had started until the middle of the day Monday. Just as pure chance there's times when at least one of the 3 mafia is one of the last people to be aware the game has started. So it's unlike most other data-sets in the fact that the mafia can't always be on top of things and working to manipulate it. So if you were to split up the 11 players by groupings the last 4 isn't a bad place to look for a mafia because they tend to have some delay as they communicate a gameplan. Also, mafia do sometimes hang back to allow townies to shape things and react off of that.
Although, I'm pretty sure once this stat became a talking point mafia did try to get out votes faster to avoid it, etc. But, as Jimmy pointed out, people are creatures of habit. So it basically just evens out to being a shot in the dark, like most things on day 1.
This was he beginning of Round 3. Right after some folks were saying this looked too easy and the mafia were likly happy. Maddog talked about the "last 4" to vote theory, etc. I was trying to get people to realize that we had at least one mafia in the runoff.
Also, a couple people are making arguments that the game is too clean or mafia wouldn't allow one of their own to move forward this easily.
Kanye, Zig and Me did similar things just two games ago. We voted for each other and made almost no moves to try and help manipulate the runoffs in favor of mafia members in trouble.
I'm not saying there's defo a mafia in these three but I don't think we should talk ourselves out of even looking. I've found several odd things going on. As an example, I've found it quite odd how quite this game has been. Especially when we have a couple traditional chatty types in here.
Pretty much the same as above. Just trying to hint that some thing might be up in the round. Again, I was being subtle. I haven't said this yet but THor is usually really suspicious of me when he's mafia. He's whacked me in round 1 when I've been inspector before. He's whacked me round 1 a bunch over all, really.
I mean, I can just keep doing this guys. I was somewhat of a broken record but just beating around the bush not wanting to make things too obvious.
I understand this from your point of view. Knowing I’m town though it certainly seems like we have townies in the runoff. Unless mafia is keeping quiet and hoping town doesn’t vote the mafia in the runoff off.
This is understandable. If I were in this runoff, I'd likely view this similar to you. I hate being in situation where I'm innocent and there doesn't seem to be much attention being paid to the current situation(lack of participation, etc.)
You could totally be right and it's all townies. Something just seems off here but maybe it's because I haven't played as much recently(like 2 of the last 6). I just feel this game started a lot quieter than the current norm, so there could be something there.
Just subtle hints. and again, I'm a very paranoid player because I have been whacked early a lot.
I've noted SFA sticking his neck out for agar as strange. It seems out of character, but also I've only played with him as mafia so thats good
I've never been shy about speaking about what's going on in the game, so I wouldn't say that's out of character really. Although, I don't really consider your example "sticking my neck out." As all I did was say I thought Agar's given reason wasn't that off-the-wall. I get not agreeing with that method but to act like it was confusing just seemed strange to me, as someone who's given that reasoning for my votes as well.
Was engaging and again trying to hint around. Trying to get people to look Thor's way.
Yeah, this whole game has got a weird vibe to it. Not sure what to think about it.
I do think Jaz has made some interesting points in regards to how to think of the runoffs. Besides that I'm not sure what else we've got going one. I feel like if I had made the move Potent made people would expect me to have more to say about it. Althought I didn't really have a problem with his switch, just kinda weird at the lack of conversation afterwards.
This is page 5, after Potent's switch. I was trying to get someone to take the bait and start sticking up for Thor. Basically just trying to see what happened.

By "we" you mean you and a seemingly sarcastic Tainted? I wouldn't consider that a thorough discussion of who should be in the next runoff but OK. I'd also think what is important to discuss now is if everyone is fine with the move this round. I personally am but I'm just surprised that hasn't been more said. Simple.
Plus, I don't think the question was if it was "out of character". Dan's point was the opposite. That he's been known to switch votes as a way of muddying the waters. I'm not sure if that was the case here or not but that was the main point brought up.
Again. Trying to encourage more talk and see who might defend Thor.
That's pretty much it for round 1. There really wasn't much for me to do. He was in the runoff from page one. So I just tried to encourage conversation and point out things that lead back his direction. Also, a fair amount of trying to get people to be more aware that their might be mafia in the runoff. I mean it's pretty clear I'm doing it if you look at my posts.
Round two was even more of the same. I guessed wrong so was trying to lead people towards who I thought were the best chances of being mafia. My plan from early in the round was to try and make it to 3, so I just wanted to narror things down. That included keeping Potent alive because from my point of view at the time it was far from clear if he was guilty. I knew there was a chance but I didn't want town to waste a day 2 lynch on him when more info might help clear that up. And again, I made clear he should probably not be allowed to live into the later rounds.
My main goal was to make it clear that I thought THor was likly mafia. So if I got whacked before a reveal at least that would stick out. I did mention I thought Maddawg was innocent but I didn't hit people over the head with hints about it because I thought that might draw too much attention from mafia.
I don't feel like listing everything. I think it's pretty freaking clear.

Just a refresher on the rules:
If Jaz pops in and locks, the round is over and Potent is the lynch, assuming no one other than Potent unlocks.
After that, yall might have to wait a couple hours til I wake up and get back to you about Night. I may let Night continue through the weekend, and I might not. Point being: if there is a lynch in locked votes, treat it as Night.

Also I just want to say that I TOTALLY called Potent switching to make a deciding kill switch on his own Mafia teammate. I'm not ready to exclude the possibility than Dan is Mafia, but I'm not sure that Potent would vote for a teammate in round 2 and not move it once they were heading towards a M-M final runoff. Potent obviously has no problem voting for (and off) teammates, but that would be a little much, even for him.

I just did a full re-read to try to check my inclination towards Dan, and this was the main thing that is giving me major pause. However, in a scenario where Dan was Mafia, there is a chance they weren't prepared for your switch from Tainted to Dan to force it.
It sucks that Day 3 just flew by and now we are in Night and not allowed to talk according to you guys. I think conversation should have happened at some point after people had a chance to read more.
Also I’m not mafia and this is ridiculous that I have to defend myself from people thinking mafia would allow a 2 mafia final runoff.
Well apparently if it ever did happen, it can be used as a perfect shield in your mind.
However, I still have scenarios that Im considering where it isnt you as Mafia. I definitely dont need to talk now. Im not going to be whacked, regardless of who is Mafia.
But Id be curious to hear from others since someone is about to die without being able to get their completed thoughts out there.
