All I know is, something is fishy when someone gives a totally bullshit reason to vote for someone and then another person hops on that bullshit train and stacks
fwiw, I don’t think I ever tried to suggest that my logic was anything more than grasping at straws. I don’t necessarily think you’re mafia, but I also don’t really have a mafia read on anyone with such little info atm.
But also, based on that, idk why Kanye decided to hop on it. Wasn’t really reasoning that warranted bandwagoning.
It made sense to me idk lol
It was also better than anything else I could come up with. It's day 1 it isn't like there's anything to go off of. And a quiet day 1 at that

It's weird but in character that Kanye would jump onto that reasoning. Not saying that is a reason for him to not be mafia given his game as mafia two games ago but in line with what he normally does.
Potent not saying anything all game and then casts the vote that saves me. I know it probably sounds weird since he’s saving me, but the move doesn’t really sit right with me. We’ve seen potent as mafia do random saves before.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this but wouldn't that mean you're mafia?

No. We’ve seen potent as mafia “save” someone in a townie v townie runoff.

I don't really care who we pick today but we should make sure we suss out the facts once day 2 comes around. With that in mind, let's make sure I'm in the runoff with potent.

Can I ask why you keep trying to throw yourself in? I agree with putting potent on trial but
I've never been shy about speaking about what's going on in the game, so I wouldn't say that's out of character really. Although, I don't really consider your example "sticking my neck out." As all I did was say I thought Agar's given reason wasn't that off-the-wall. I get not agreeing with that method but to act like it was confusing just seemed strange to me, as someone who's given that reasoning for my votes as well.
I just meant that I never pegged you as someone that would defend someone with an unknown role. You're very careful when you play, at least as mafia so if anything it means you're town
Got ya. I think it's true that I can be pretty cautious and conservative. People have gotten irritated at me in the past for not being more proactive(I guess?). But it's also true that I do point out things that stick out to me and will defend people if I think the town is going the wrong way on a topic. Or even just if I think we should look at the topic a different way.
But again, I really wasn't defending anyone here as much as saying I didn't understand the reaction. It wasn't about the person or their argument being beyond critique, as much as the implication that it was nonsensical or unique to this game. That was the main point I was trying to get across.
See, again, a problem with the Thor revotes scenario. No one's asked Jtr why he voted the way he did, because it skewed to why didn't I vote to even it, and then is now swept under potents move.

I voted that way to even it out. Also I would've chosen Thor over Dan anyways. Gut feeling.

This is where I disagree. With a revoter's vote being a given, the dynamics change. Since you already knew where Thor's vote was going to, the tally was essentially Dan 5, Thor 4 before you even voted. Thor hadn't technically voted yet but the knowledge of where he was going to vote changes how you make your decisions. Assuming you had no prior knowledge that potent would switch, it was your move that would have sealed Dan's fate and allowed Jtr's vote to possibly mean less.
We know that you preferred Dan to be voted out over Thor. That's info, potentially.

This is the correct take. Glad I’m not the only one who noticed.

It's one piece of info, that's barely helpful. How many mafia chats have you been in where someone says, "make sure you vote first so you can even it up and make X make the meaningful vote" because personally it's a fair amount.
Knowing where Thor's vote is going gives you no information on Thor, at all. It's less possible information than three new people voting. With the idea being one person gets a free pass to even it up, you're getting information on 1 player who's got a 1/11 chance of being mafia.
Yeah, this whole game has got a weird vibe to it. Not sure what to think about it.
I do think Jaz has made some interesting points in regards to how to think of the runoffs. Besides that I'm not sure what else we've got going one. I feel like if I had made the move Potent made people would expect me to have more to say about it. Althought I didn't really have a problem with his switch, just kinda weird at the lack of conversation afterwards.

We literally decided it was out of character and mafia-esque of him and also decided we were gonna put him in the runoff because of the move. How is that lack of discussion

By "we" you mean you and a seemingly sarcastic Tainted? I wouldn't consider that a thorough discussion of who should be in the next runoff but OK. I'd also think what is important to discuss now is if everyone is fine with the move this round. I personally am but I'm just surprised that hasn't been more said. Simple.
Plus, I don't think the question was if it was "out of character". Dan's point was the opposite. That he's been known to switch votes as a way of muddying the waters. I'm not sure if that was the case here or not but that was the main point brought up.
I also want to reiterate I’m in no way saying “I think potent is mafia” I was just bringing up the fact that we’ve seen potent play similarly as mafia. I think saying he deserves to be in the runoff day 2 is a little premature since we don’t have the whack yet.

Idk maybe I'm just proactive but as SFA (I think) even said earlier, people are creatures of habit. I guess it is premature to say he should be in the runoff but it is honestly the most info we have as of now. I'm positive I will have more ideas postwhack but yeah, I think it's important to at least remember he is acting as mafia potent has in the past and act on it
