Hi, y'all! I have no real intention of ever going back to Hangout, but it's good to see familiar faces.
We're all old and fizzling out but glad to have some of you around still to share our collective experiences. Wilco tonight for you right? Hope it was a blast! Still get random show video texts from esteban and late night check out this band/song messages from solidrock and keep up with the amazing adventures of mattlikesrock.
It'd be great if we could have one more go around.

I’m still considering going back this year even tho i skipped last year(semi local) but still all depends on lineup even as close as i am that couldn’t get me to go last year. For some of my old school hangout fest vets like myself and a lot of you what’s some lineup semi realistic of what hangout was and has also became that would get some of you back? I wouldn’t mind something like this:
Coldplay/ Post Malone/ Tame Impala/ Bassnectar/ Billie Eilish/ Asap Rocky Cage the Elephant/ Schoolboy Q/ The Black Crowes/ Of Monsters and Men The Revivalist/ Nathaniel Rateliff and the Nightsweats/ Jaden Smith/ Danny Brown Glass Animals/ Dermot Kennedy/ Denzel Curry/ Rebelution
Of course thrown in the edm and other pop acts mixed in and it could get me back.

Life is Beautiful has become ne215 and I go to fest but even that bordered on a skip this year. Miss the beach but I can't see them pulling out something decent. Looking back at 18s line up has aged a bit better but 19 was just utter garbage.
Foo Fighters | J Cole | Billie Eilish | My Chemical Romance | Martin Garrix
I could see Gunna, HAIM, & Glass Animals being undercards. I can’t think of any other Hip-Hop acts besides Chance to take Posty’s spot. Every artist releasing in Q4 (Your Drake’s, Weeknd’s, Kanye’s) are probably out of budget for hangout and I highly doubt Kendrick would come back after the whole controversy last time. Sunday Service on the beach would be amazing tho.

We went to the Fox Theater in Atlanta for the Ray LaMontagnre Show. Awesome! The show was a duo with Ray and lead guitar for MMJ. Going to see the Doobies week after next in ATL. When do you guess Hangout will drop part I of the 2020 lineup? Got my fingers crossed at least 30% of the bands are folks I’d like to see. Would love to have a reunion of Hangoutarooers.
2021 Hoodstock Songwriters Festival Perdido Key May, JJ Grey September in the Caverns, Eric Clapton at Gwinnett County Gas South Arena, Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival November, next up TTB in Chattanooga.

Take this for what’s its worth but was recently talking to someone who is somewhat in the loop and before even knowing this person was while we were taking music taste they asked me if i ever went to hangout i brought up every year from 2012 until this current year because of the lineup. They informed me that if i liked past lineups i should like this years because they’re making some changes and that also people involved in Buku will be invoked with hangout. So here’s to hoping for a better lineup and actually being back.
i want nothing more then to return to the gulf shores. i hope this is at least somewhat true

summer kick off with hangout on the beach and summer ending with LiB and the pool parties is my dream

this is my goal again too. Had to pass on lib this past year and passed on hanging too. But 2020 hoping to be back at hangout and LIB is my for sure fest I’m planning. Still thinking about my first Coachella but waiting to see what other fests around may get rage and mcr. I know it won’t be hangout but just somewhere close I’m hoping.
I saw My Chemical Romance once and they sucked hard. As for what later in the year festivals Rage is going to play, who knows? Probably some of them won't even have their lineups out by the time all the current set of shows have been played. The best bets for them to play are probably from the Live Nation suite of festivals (Bonnaroo, Lolla, ACL, Voodo, LIB, etc.).
i only know 2 songs but at least its something new for the fest scene. id prob see it if there wasnt a conflict. theyre already doing Coach and id bet they headline or be top 5 at Firefly.

They have their fans. I saw them in 2011. It was not good.
Someone on the Reddit that works with hangout for contest said first week of December which is kinda late...
Also how likely is it for an artist to play multiple GV festivals? Like how much crossing over do they normally do with their other fest? I’m starting to think J Cole has a decent shot at the Hip-Hop slot
