Also how likely is it for an artist to play multiple GV festivals? Like how much crossing over do they normally do with their other fest?
It looks like the main trend over the past few years is overlap primarily between Firefly and Hangout with a splash of Coachella crossover.
2018 F-H overlaps: Kendrick, Portugal. the Man*, Cold War Kids, Logic, SZA*, Odesza*, Foster the People, Lauv, blackbear*, Ron Gallo*, Whethan*, San Holo, Alice Merton 2019 F-H overlaps: Travis Scott, Vampire Weekend, Kygo, Griz, Walk the Moon, King Princess*, Lauren Daigle, Taylor Bennett, Sir Sly, Flora Cash, Two Feet, Bishop Briggs *Means they also played Coachella the same year.
So I think its safe to say we'll continue to see some GV crossover in 2020, although lower sales in 2019 could lead them to make a few more unique bookings.
Can someone ask the old lady from Egypt what she thinks of Lana Del Rey headlining Coachella so we can know whether the festival has redeemed its reputation as a laughingstock worldwide
I'm so bored on this cold Saturday morning. So let's do it!
2019: Khalid, The 1975, Diplo, King Princess, Gorgon City, Arizona, Soffi Tukker, Superorganism, Shame, Bazzi 2018: Portugal. the Man, SZA, ODESZA, St. Vincent, Tash Sultana, Ron Gallo, Dej Loaf, blackbear, Bleachers, Tank and the Bangas, noname, Greta Van Fleet, Whethan, 2017: DJ Snake, Marshmello, Dillon Francis, The Head and the Heart, Mac Demarco, Tory Lanez, GRYFFIN, Warpaint, Kungs, Bishop Briggs, Local Natives,
I know I missed a few smaller acts along the way, definitely didn't include DoLab sets or anything not on the primary lineups. Also worth noting that the two fests have only shared the same headliner twice in recent history: Outkast in 2014, Calvin Harris in 2016.

So my group friends i normally go with said tonight this year is gonna be rough on them for other fests so they at planning on hangout again since we’re all so close in distance to the fest. So I told them I’m in and will do this with them and hopefully LIB for sure. Semi real headliners that i would enjoy would be Coldplay, J. Cole, and My Chemical Romance as a hope.

Post Malone - My Chemical Romance - Billie Eilish - Tame Impala - Halsey - Flume
If they book similar to last year I think that’s your Top 6. If you sort that into 3 days it actually looks substantially better than 2019.
Fri: Post Malone - Billie Eilish Sat: My Chemical Romance - Halsey Sun: Tame Impala - Flume
I’ll be honest would work for me because i actually like posty and plus love tame and my chemical romance i still wanna see so it would be way better for me then last year not really being into any of the headliners at all.
Boston Calling getting Foo Fighters and RCP should make at least one likely, no?
BC and Hangout reliably share one headliner (2017 they shared two) so it’s likely Hangout gets one of them. Although, I’m putting my money on Post Malone playing both. He’s never played either, just dropped a new album and fits perfectly in the rap headliner spot that BC still has open.
