If Tame was like an 8.5 or 9 at Weekend 1 ACL, Billie's show registered around a 3.5/4. That doesn't make them more popular, because based on a big segment of the crowd, Billie is really reaching out to grammar school kids. She has some decent messaging, so that doesn't bother me.

are you saying quality ? I’m just saying she’s been getting higher billing at other fests
The number ratings were based on quality, but Tame Impala closed ACL last month on the stage she played a bit earlier at. I know some festivals have given her a push (haven't seen if they've booked her over tame or not). I don't think she's probably bigger than Tame as a festival performer, though you could probably make that argument for Hangout since their demographics aren't typical of most multi-genre festivals.
Some of what you like is pure suck top 40 shit though. And you like light shows. You liked 2018 and 2019 hangout. You were part of the 5% here (maybe the whole 5%) that felt that way last couple of years.
There's a reason most of us stopped going years ago.

Nah. You got me all wrong.
Lol. No I didn’t. What I got wrong was you were replying to lizzo not being ahead of skrillex in your world. I Might agree with that but she’s shot up the charts so I’m boy really sure on that one.
Billie is undeniably more popular than Tame Impala. From their ACL performances alone, Billie is not headliner material yet, Tame (obviously) is. I saw part of her set and she was pretty good, she worked the stage well, but it wasn't an "OMG WOW, I'm gonna remember this" moment. She also had some substantial sound issues that I try not to ding her for. (If you were not up in the thick of her crowd of screaming teens, you couldn't hear her at all, just the bass of her backing track. So the crowd was standing there trying to listen, but a lot of people were just getting frustrated and leaving.) But overall it was a solid B performance, but definitely not a standout. However, I did not see her at Coachella and the reviews I heard of that show were strong. The clips floating around out there are a VERY different set than what I saw at ACL. If she could deliver something like that, I could see her headlining.
But if you're we're talking about Billie and Tame this isn't a debate. Tame Impala is a headliner and Billie is not. Until she is. Tame Impala is certainly not a super strong headliner for popularity's sake, but 95% of the time (looking at you Osheaga) they headline. That's because they give a reliably captivating show every time whether you know their music or not. Even if for some it's just "ooh lazerzzzz," their set is undeniably memorable, pretty polished and is something you try to end the night with. If (really when) Billie gets to that level, she'll headline. She could be gearing up for her big breakout headlining set in 2020. But until there's proof, you best believe I'll be putting Tame Impala above Billie Eilish 100% of the time.
And all that being said, if there's one festival that would headline Billie Eilish flat-out, it's definitely Hangout. Remember, Khalid headlined this thing last year.
Can someone ask the old lady from Egypt what she thinks of Lana Del Rey headlining Coachella so we can know whether the festival has redeemed its reputation as a laughingstock worldwide
Bored at work so I decided to whip up a quick mock. I'm assuming that most of my undercard is way off, literally just pulled names from other 2019 GV fests and 2020 fests with lineups already announced that historically share an act or two. Should be fun to see how wrong I was with this. Hopefully the lineup is out tomorrow
This would have more substance then the past few years of hangout
I’m back at the Regatta for one last try. Skipped last year, and the whole summer felt wrong. If the line blows as hard as 18 I’ll just cancel the condo and give up.
I'm good with Foos or RHCP. Totally respect the mocks. Not a fan though. Prefer the sounds and styles of early Hangout. Sweetwater 420 was fun this year with JJ Grey and Mofro, Jason Isbell, WSP, and others. Bonnaroo two years ago with Sturgill, OCMS, Sheryl Crow, and others was good, Still got my fingers crossed for a change to a broader range of genres and better performers across the board.
2021 Hoodstock Songwriters Festival Perdido Key May, JJ Grey September in the Caverns, Eric Clapton at Gwinnett County Gas South Arena, Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival November, next up TTB in Chattanooga.
Bigbear back on reddit. Says lineup release today 11am central. RHCP and Kacey Musgraves are playing.
How reliable is that guy??
From what I remember the original account was but this one had 1 or two solid finds/guesses but has been wrong ever since.. grain of salt but we’ll see
RHCP and Kacey are a good start if true. RHCP is definitely Line 1. Kacey ehhhh Top of Line 3 I'd say.
Kacey will be top line or first act of the second line. Shes way too big for Hangout to have her on the 3rd line. She was the top nonheadlining act at Lollapalooza this year.
