The proposed bill would create a broad definition of “domestic terrorism” to include any attempt to “affect” or “influence” government policy or actions. And it would include property damage—even attempted property damage—as a terrorist act subject to a 25-year prison sentence.
Here's Biden saying that since his family members died from terminal illnesses that poor people shouldn't have healthcare. Or something.
It is worded so eloquently and pulls at those heartstrings so well that unless you are aware, you wouldn't realize that affordable doesn't mean coverage for all.
EDIT: almost forgot my point. Can he just stop and sit down now?

"Somtimes I loved Kamala Harris. Sometimes I loved Pete Buttigieg. But I'm here to say.. I LOVE ELIZABETH WARREN!"
Yeah. Back on my bullshit. Lol.
This is lame and dripping with consultant bullshit speak but at least he's right about Biden. But this dude is miles removed from working class America and all of this is a game to him. He doesn't care about Warren's policies. If he did he wouldn't think Harris and Warren were interchangeable, not to forget Buttigieg. One would also think if he actually cared about progressive policies he wouldn't be talking shit about Bernie for months.
Not that any of this really matters. Just saying, there's no real reason this dipshit deserved to be on national news to reveal who he's backing.

I'm with that. I'm still very skeptical that this is the shift we're seeing in the propaganda machine.

Been a long while since I've read Chomsky's work on it but his propaganda model wouldn't really say anything has changed. It's mostly filter by omission, distortion, and concision. There's evidence of that but I wouldn't say there's hard evidence in them pushing anyone in particular or doing anything outside of what the media normally does. I've noticed some claim that the media is shifting every time a "chosen one" falls down. That's a little much. But again, I hate network news so I'm not one to really speak on what they are and aren't doing. I don't watch the shit very much if I can help it.
Also. In regards to celebrating "meeting with party leaders" as some great thing. These are the same party leaders that shot down a climate debate. Spending time assuring them you're on their team is great for your chance for getting elected. Not so great for bringing about structural change I'm afraid.
"There is no path to transformative political change in American politics that doesn't antagonize the existing leadership of the Democratic Party, its big donor base, and the white collar, PMC portion of its coalition. Anyone telling you otherwise is selling a dangerous fiction. It's impossible to navigate any kind of compromise here, whatever your intentions or your program: the Dem coalition, and the politics its leadership have championed for the past few decades, are a contradiction; a phoney attempt to broker interests that are fundamentally opposed. If you favor progressive, transformative policies the only course available is to break from this model, build a new kind of coalition rooted in the working class majority, and tell the big donors and elite brokers to hit the road. There's simply no alternative." - Luke Savage
Can you imagine that they didn't allow him because a friend of him send him some Trump memes or whatever. I really hope he gets picked up by a European university so that he can still get his education because this is just the dumbest shit.
I like this article because of all those dumbass Republicans that say that they are Lincoln's party. No, you aren't anymore:
sometime between the 1860s and 1936, the (Democratic) party of small government became the party of big government, and the (Republican) party of big government became rhetorically committed to curbing federal power. How did this switch happen?

It's also a bullshit argument because Lincoln pretty famously wanted to ship the freed slaves from the South (the Emancipation Proclamation freed only Rebel owned slaves, not the North's) back to Africa if possible. Even asked 5 prominent black leaders to back him on it before delivering the speech. He wasn't for equality, nor did he see us as valuable humans -- but as a pawn in an ethically bound war game. The fandom surrounding early leaders is a bit misguided.
His views became clear during an 1858 series of debates with his opponent in the Illinois race for U.S. Senate, Stephen Douglas, who had accused him of supporting “negro equality.” In their fourth debate, at Charleston, Illinois, on September 18, 1858, Lincoln made his position clear. “I will say then that I am not, nor ever have been, in favor of bringing about in any way the social and political equality of the white and black races,” he began, going on to say that he opposed blacks having the right to vote, to serve on juries, to hold office and to intermarry with whites.
And the third thing is his support of colonization.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) issued a policy on Wednesday rescinding previous guidance stating that children of U.S. service members and other government officials abroad are considered “residing in the United States” and automatically given citizenship under a section of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).

I'm sure all the military service people are gonna love that. Most of them are probably in the tank for Trump but what fucking disrespect.
Yeah there are a ton of service people that get married in other countries and have kids overseas. I lived in Guam in the 1990s and out of 90 kids in my 8th grade class, about 2/3rds had mixed nationality parents. I know some of them were born in Japan and the Philippines. I knew other kids that were born in Germany and Italy. I don't know where any of them are at, but I hope they're all ok. Some also ended up in the military and may have spouses from other countries
