Do Pete, Tulsi, or Yang have any actual chance of winning the nomination?
Pete yes, the other two no
That's my view as well. As someone mentioned earlier, Pete has the potential to get the more centrist votes that Biden is going to lose over time. That being said, Harris probably did more to get those last night than Pete did.

To piggyback off of what others have said before me, Pete has the biggest shot, and possibly only reasonably likely shot, at getting the nomination. As it currently stands, I would guess that there are only about five candidates that are likely to get the candidacy: Biden, Warren, Sanders, Harris, or Buttigieg. If I were to put money on it right now, those are the only five I pick from. Some dark horses would be people like Beto, Booker, Castro, or maybe Tulsi.
However, a whole lot can change over the next year or even next month. In early June of 2015, everyone thought that one of five Republican candidates would be the candidate: Jeb, Ben Carson, Huckabee, Rubio, or Scott Walker. At that time, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and Trump were all on the outside looking in. A poll in late June 2015 showed Trump sitting in 11th place at only 1%. By the end of July, Trump was already polling in the lead.
Thank you for this. Apologies if this is included among these links (I haven't read through them yet) but is there a good place where you can see where donations come from for each respective candidate?

Hoping something like this happens to Pete. He's very well likeable by a lot of people, and I think he'd possibly have the best chance of winning the election.

I think Pete is more likely to get a shot to be VP or if he wants it, a cabinet position than winning the primary. it's too early to tell what the best dynamics are - but putting political considerations aside, you have to like Harris-Buttigieg or Warren-Buttigieg. I'd dig seeing Mayor Pete debate Mike Penis.

I think that he's becoming a bit of a polarizing figure among Democrats/Progressives. I think it's hard to hear him speak and not feel at least drawn into him. He's intelligent, thoughtful, and charismatic. He checks a lot of intangible boxes (youthful, LGBTQ+, military vet, well-educated, well-spoken, etc.). To the casual observer, he kinda comes across as America's Justin Trudeau in a lot of ways.
But many feel like his lack of experience, and the fact that he doesn't have much past history of fighting for Progressive values to demostrate how he would actually lead the country, means that he can't be trusted to a champion for Progressive ideals. He gets the reputation as a centrist, whether justified or not. It's tough to really argue hard in either direction BECAUSE of the lack of history to support either claim.
Personally, I would love for him to step up and prove himself through this primary season. I would not feel bad at all casting a vote for him. But there are a lot of candidates he is up against who have put in the work and already shown through years of fighting for the cause that they are true Progressives. He's my favorite candidate not named Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders.
Side note: Like some others, I was disappointed in Bernie's performance. I was really hoping this campaign he would focus more on policy details than broad talking points. Warren is killing him at this so far.

Gillibrand came across more a little more left than I expected, so I was into some of what she said, but I'm skeptical as to quite how authentic it is.

I would love 4 years of these kind of tweets from the potus account given the current quality of @potus tweets
My favorite part of the night was her randomly bringing up American foreign policy in Central America. Speaking right to my heart and then cleansing it with shards of rainbow energy.
Can someone fill me in on Harris? Does she have any skeletons in her closet? I liked a lot of what she said and a quick google search didn’t pull any red flags up

There's a slant to this article for sure, but here are most of the flags you'll have to pick the colors of:

Also, calling out New Zealand for.... something?
She wants to call the PM of New Zealand to tell her "Girlfriend, you are so on."
Fuck it, I'm all in on Williamson. She sounds like fun.

The absolute funniest shit is her interview with Chapo Trap House. Virgil is setting up the dialouge to be a discussion between their typical materialist worldview vs her more spitrial stuff. She starts ranting about historical matarilism and Marx's earlier writings on the state of humanity. You can just feel Virgil's mind being blown. Then she goes off on some hippie nonsense. It's awesome.
But she has some really interesting things to say overall . Very smart lady. Just too much new age crap in there.

My wife will be on Hardball with Chris Matthews tonight at 7:40pm talking about the SCOTUS gerrymandering and census cases. I'm way more excited than she is about this.
