Am I being an absolute virtue-signaling overly sensitive leftist asshole for deciding to not book an airbnb that is otherwise literally perfect (and cheap) because of this?

So, Puerto Ricans have hit the streets by tens of thousands and want their governor to resign. The corruption down there is rampant, and our government basically treats them like a redheaded stepchild.
The people in PR deserve better than what they got now
Britain: we're the dumbest by doing Brexit America: hold my beer Britain: No, hold MY beer
I remember the day Brexit happened, I was driving to work. My first thought was, Trump can win. Now with Boris winning, I know re-election will happen.
Last night I had a dream that I was in a class being taught by Elizabeth Warren, and then afterwards I received a notice that she was fining me $3,500 for "multiple class disruptions".
Great thread, thanks for sharing. I really liked the idea of Dems getting into the "cheerleading" side of politics. I think a big part of voter turnout is having a candidate who excites people. I'm not sure if any of the runners will really EXCITE anyone to vote (certainly not Joe Biden of all people), but we'll find out.

But it works. They have people believing that Black Lives Matter and Antifa are terrorists. It's insane how easy it is to convince their followers that these groups are evil (meanwhile sweeping Nazis and atomwaffen stuff under the rug)

Someone basically called me a racist, socialist fascist for posting "Dear White People, we aren't asking you to apologize for your ancestors. We're asking you to dismantle the system that supports it and you benefit from."
The worm growing through their heads may be impenetrable. Apparently we should be grateful for the crumbs given to us, for being "allowed to assimilate" and asking for better conditions and asking for more from your oppressors is racism. It works.

After the vote, 9/11 first responder John Feal, who has been there every step of the way during this compensation battle thanked McConnell for helping it pass. He also heaped praise on Senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Chuck Schumer for championing the bill. But there were two people he didn’t thank. Feal remarked, “As for Rand Paul and Mike Lee, told you so. We whipped your asses, 97 to 2.”

Anyone who watches TYT will get this:
"That's what we do, we walk in there and move the chairs around."
Jon Stewart, never ever stopped his assault on what he sees as a burning country and this is the least of what should be done for those who save others. You move those fucking chairs around and make people see you, and make Rand Paul look just like the loser he is.
You linked the wrong article, but I found the one you were talking about
Scher is trumpeting domestic spending increases while Trump is currently planning to do an end-around on Congress and kick millions of people off the SNAP program
It would be nice to have some kind of leverage when he does that
Can I ask is the basic analysis of the article that it is economically/politically more valuable to not have a government shutdown again and thus passing a stripped down budget deal without leverage, is the only course to that exact cause?
I disagree with that premise, as being a risk reducer with no benefits, but it would be good to know where the exact argument is coming from.
