Weird how they stacked the notable Jungle 51 artists on Thursday and Sunday. I like that I’ll be able to see Maya Jane Cole during Mumford but Friday and Saturday are the nights I’ll be up until 5AM and it leaves a lot to be desired. Is anyone familiar with the Jungle 51 artists Fri/Sat? I’m not too big into the Incindia bass music late night.
You can see the obvious Coachella effect on this lineup. They booked like half of Coachella’s lineup from last year. Hard to have a festival in NA prior to April when the entire festival circuit is booked for Coachella.
Glass Animals shouldn’t be subbing but Insomniac did a power move and threw some $$ at them. VERY surprised this is their return show and not Coachella.
They played Coachella their last go around. Would have been disappointing to see them there again without new music.

Unless I just don't know any of them, I feel like this has a really weak rap lineup. Gunna and mgk as top names is bad. EarthGang is solid. Some decent names in there overall but pretty big dropoff after the first 7 or 8 names each day.
There's a few artists I'd really love to see (also, the Glass Animals comeback!!!), but it's gonna be like $400+ for a ticket/camping. I don't know if this lineup, if real, is worth the money.
WTF is that really how much this fest costs now? I think when I went in 2017 it was like $150.
Yup! Though I was a little off - a car camping bundle is listed for $289 + taxes and fees (probably an extra 50 or so) which gets you entry + a car spot. So $339. Which is steep.
And that doesn't account for all the other camping options they have. Not sure why they offer "lakeside", since it is literally a retention pond, unless they are using more property that wasn't used in previous years and there is another lake I don't know about. (BTW, the fest is not directly on Lake Okeechobee contrary to popular belief.) Anyway, that option is NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS.
Insomniac does a great job with festivals, but EVERYTHING is expensive. I live so close so it's stupid of me not to go, but idk, I'll have to mull it over.
Wondering how many artists, if they are mid or lower tier (doubting any higher billed acts), and if they are waiting until after Hulaween or EDCO. And if so I would like some FlyLo and not-shitty rap, please.

Is it too much to ask for a deadmau5 Cube V3 add-on? EDCO is over now; mau5/Testpilot was phenomenal last weekend and I want more. He's playing a show in Miami (December) for Art Basel so I don't know if this would affect radius clause issues.

EDCO is over but EDC-Appalachia is about to begin.
How small is this festival? Was looking at the map it only looks like 3 stages inside the festival? Is that right? 25-35k?
3 stages inside but they utilize the Aquachobee Stage all day like a normal stage and put a lot of the mid card acts on that stage. You also have Jungle 51 at night as well as Incindia so actually 6. There’s a couple really small stages too like the “coffee house.” But no one on the actual lineup plays those.

I wonder if they lowered total capacity this year. They’re claiming GA tickets are 90% sold out and we are not even through November. This thing never used to “sell out” until week before or week of

That's only GA without the car pass though, aka tent only/people who want to carpool. I'm sure there will be plenty of GA with car camping.

Lol that’s soooo Insomniac to force thousands of people to purchase passes with car camping included that are car pooling

Yeah I have a feeling this isn’t selling insanely well too, yeah Okee has a good reputation and it’s a big draw for Bassheads but I just don’t feel like there’s a lot of excitement for this and they haven’t made any big announcements since the lineup release. I’d love to see how tickets were allotted for each of the passes.

Maybe there is, and maybe there isn't. But I think there's a shitload to like on it as well as plenty to hate on. If they would have worked with me on those VIP tickets, I would have gone. But fuck 'em at this point. Some of my kids go every year, and I'm sure at least one of them will find their way back. What I like on the lineup the most is Lotus, Bassnectar, Tipper, Sublime, Bob Moses, G Jones, Earthgang, Glass Animals, Ghostland Observatory, Flatbush Zombies and Karl Denson's Tiny Universe.
My festie friends that won tickets after the 2018 tickets were informed that Okee is honoring their winning tickets. It makes me want to go but the timing is just really bad for me.

I lied, they now have "eco passes." Yeah now I'm starting to think this isn't selling well

That's awesome for your friends. March is freaking busy for work I feel like, and having to deal with all the spring-breakers
It’s been a while since I have seen Lotus and they absolutely crushed it tonight.
Good. Next year when we all post our top 10 of each year of the last decade, Lotus 2013 Buku and 2014 HoB made the cut. Fucking Buku show was psychotic. Maybe 100 people were there (1 am show still at the fest vs a big rap act). That was unreal. Then the 2014 tour was beyond whatever it had to be beyond to get credit. Saw em again with cmack at Waka 15 between Portugal and Thievery in the front section diy. Then we saw them at Bear creek bayou In 2016 which was I think the last time I saw them. All our family had nothing but good to say for both sets at Okee last time they played.
