"The hordes of people expected to descend on Chicago's Grant Park for the Lollapalooza music festival this week will be required to show proof that they've been vaccinated for COVID-19 or tested negative for the disease within the last three days.
...This year's festival will look very different than in the past. To gain entry, attendees will have to present their vaccination cards or a printed copy of a negative COVID-19 test that is no more than 72 hours old. That means that anyone with a four-day pass who isn't vaccinated will have to get tested twice. Furthermore, anyone who isn't vaccinated will have to wear a mask."

allegedly vaccinated people are getting a separate wristband to wear for the duration of the festival but even with that, I don't imagine it'll be easy to see 200,000 wrists every day of the fest. Especially in the middle of a headliner set.
Edit: I just realized these people are standing outside the festival, not inside it. Either way, being at the gates before 9 is dedication so I hope those people all brought good sunscreen.
you have to bring the original correct? that seems kinda shitty to have to carry something that important around in your pocket at a festival
The website says to bring a “printed copy”; I would personally scan mine and bring that but also in the few instances I’ve had to show my card a phone photo has been fine. So ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

at least they are trying. better than what 99% of festivals and venues are doing

yea i took a picture for that reason. i'm not going to lolla but was just curious how this would be playing out. i think it's a good idea no matter how good or bad it actually works. it puts the pressure on people

i have a couple buddies there this weekend that went to Staples and got a few copies sized down to fit in their wallet and laminated for each day. I couldn’t go to Lolla but if I did, that would probably be the move.
Given the state of things, I would not be surprised if we see people still dropping daily during the fest. I am going, but I am not getting too attached to anything (especially on the undercard).
Yep. Just got told that Hinds are out and cancelled their aftershow because their singer got rona.
Entrance at Columbus and monroe was a breeze Very well organized
So how hardcore was it and are people getting wristbanded?
Can’t say about getting wristbanded but on the news right now they showed they have a “health screening” tent prior to security where they check vax cards/negative tests; the reporter said he saw people getting turned away
Was able to sneak in five shots and the equivalent of two glasses of wine, so maybe it wasn’t all bad. Also, obviously no masks besides some people in line. Gonna stay near the back of crowds until later when it’s cooler, then I’ll mask up as I get closer
edit: wearing a light blue freddie Gibbs shirt come say hi

Ok new rule if you’re coming into this thread either please read any regulation about this festival that has been announced in the past three months and/or learn how many hours there are in a four day period. Thank you!
