I don't see where they wrote that it ended in the 70s.
It’s the way it’s always said “back in the 70’s” like that’s the only time that was happening.
Idk I guess I just don't normally think of it that way.
"Of course he did coke, he was big in the 80's." doesn't imply people stopped doing coke after the 80s. Just that it's not as surprising or as hidden then compared to today.

so many musicians from the hippie days are such posers, made a living off some good music and living a free life only to be imprisoned by your own bigotry
It is interesting to think about in a vacuum: We do tend to expect celebrities our parent's age to adhere to our own standards of opinion on culture and civil rights, but do we also cancel our parents?

the bathroom thing had me thinking...i had never seen this before except for when i was in a pretty red state at a fair/festival over the weekend. gendered portapotties. has anyone else seen those? i guess if some have urinals in them vs not, but i imagine the urinals also have toilets in them too (which is the norm i've seen)...it just didn't make sense to me. they were gendered by color, too. pink and blue.

Bonnaroo porta potties use to be like that.
yeah i guess roo has/had the gendered areas. maybe i was caught off guard with the pink vs blue situation, cuz it wasn't separated areas, they were just lined up right next to each other.

i always assumed that was predicated on the theory that women's portos would have less piss all over them. but i think portos are just gunna be nasty regardless of gender.
reminds me how every year on reddit people post that diagram reminding everyone to close the toilet lids in portos so the air circulates right or something. listen i am not touching no porto lid at bonnaroo lmao. it's a 90" x 44" x 48" plastic box in 90 degree heat full of human waste, it's just going to be awful no matter what.
