the bathroom thing had me thinking...i had never seen this before except for when i was in a pretty red state at a fair/festival over the weekend. gendered portapotties. has anyone else seen those? i guess if some have urinals in them vs not, but i imagine the urinals also have toilets in them too (which is the norm i've seen)...it just didn't make sense to me. they were gendered by color, too. pink and blue.
i always assumed that was predicated on the theory that women's portos would have less piss all over them. but i think portos are just gunna be nasty regardless of gender.

also there's a huge difference between a family member shouting into a void and a guy getting interviews in articles speaking his mind on the real issues because he wrote some songs a long time ago. there's nothing to cancel for a family member, but journalists should stop offering Alice Cooper interviews, he should probably stop getting booked at festivals that are attempting to be diverse. same with Santana, take them down from the platform and have them shout at the void.

I don't agree with my parents on a lot of things, but they raised me and love me unconditionally, so I am always going to give them more leeway than Alice Cooper (who isn't going to see any negative effects from this anyway). Dumb, worthless thought experiment.

I worked at a gas station in high school so cleaned the women's bathroom (with my tongue). They were generally better and never had shit smears on the wall, which the men's did often. In the women's I came across used tampons left out which was a horror for every sense, especially taste.
My coworkers and I were always bored so deep fried hot dogs til they were black then left them in the women's toilet with Hershey's sprayed all over. It was hilarious to watch a woman go in there then immediately step back out looking disturbed. They'd report that there was a situation in the bathroom and we'd act all surprised and sympathetic, promising to get right on it. We never did.

tbf, even as pro trans person, I understand why they’d be more concerned over children than adults. Adults have full capacity to consent, and accept the results of their decisions. So yeah, having high levels of scrutiny over the administration of any sort of drugs to kids makes complete sense. I just disagree with people who’d carry that to the extreme of “never give these drugs to kids” because as with all drugs there’s a time and place where they are beneficial to people, just with the proper restrictions on them.

Less fury and more just...musing on my relationships, but some people can actually change when confronted with a loved one who's queer/disabled/whatever. My mom used to say *wildly* transphobic shit that shoved me deeper and deeper in the closet. When I came out, she, y'know, *chilled out because her daughter was a trans person.*
My dad has not chilled out and in fact has only doubled down on his transphobia, but that's neither here nor there.
