I want to know who has been sitting on these emails for ten years. Why do these things all get released at the same time so many years later? Is it because that person decided "okay I had to wait until 2021 before these emails would be taken seriously, so now I can finally release them!" Or did he just now piss off the wrong person who decided they would take him out?

This all came out in the investigation of the Washington Football Team. Why’d Gruden get singled out first? I bet there’s lots of other nervous coaches and execs nervous right now.
If it's anything like how a lot of hospitals/clinics are, when a doctor gets accused of shit, they usually just ignore it. Unless too many people start to complain about a doctor, then they quietly resign or relocate to a new hospital. Like this dude.

Specifically denigrating the head of the players' union and the commissioner of the league in writing is probably the sort of thing that you want to avoid if you want to keep your shit on the down low.
Anyways, it only takes one pissed off person to leak information and he cast wide net.
I think it's inevitable that they end up releasing all of the emails at this point. A lot of people are going to be embarrassed and insulted. A few more could lose their jobs.

It was pretty mundane and it happened sixteen years ago.
Emailing with a mentor. She was trying to hire someone for a managerial role but was told that she couldn't because the potential manager's daughter would report to her.
I was empathazing and pointed out about a half dozen very prominent relationships in conflict of that unwritten policy. This included the VP of HR marrying a construction manager. (I was at their wedding, having been living with an HR manager with our company at the time.)
A disgruntled former employee of my mentor (and myself) "hacked" her email- and I use that term loosely - and sent it to every email in the company in the middle of the night.
We both got suspended for a week for abusing company email.
It was embarrassing for sure but the worst part of it was that I had mentioned a same-sex relationship between a manager and her subordinate. It was a well known relationship for years and they had a house together but apparently they weren't officially out. That wasn't a fun apology.

OMG what a horrible way to learn that lesson.
Another good lesson is to change your damn password if you share an email with someone. Especially after they leave on bad terms.

When I had originally made that post, I wasn't aware of how the emails were found in the first place (the WFT investigation). But I'll still say that a lot of what I said is still kinda true.
If Gruden was making all these types of comments in emails, why was no one ever reporting him? Why did he feel comfortable saying all those things, not only just about DeMaurice Smith which got all the headlines but also all those anti-gay and anti-women comments? Someone AT A MINIMUM should have been at least telling this dude to stop using his company email account to send it. I mean, if you're not going to call him out at least tell the man to stop being so damn overt about it.
And to my original point, why are only Gruden's emails being released so far? Maybe he's the most prominent figure that is in the wrong, or maybe he has pissed some people off and now they have their revenge.
If you're going to release the damning emails on him, release them on everyone. Otherwise, you're just being hypocritical.

the emails are in correspondence with Bruce Allen, FORMER redskins exec, adam schefters emails to Bruce are now also coming out, but so far Gruden is the only current active NFL person that's been uncovered.
obviously Dan Snyder is the big fish, but overall it doesn't make a ton of sense for other HC/execs to really be involved unless they were buddy buddy with Bruce.
saw someone on Twitter get real, THE NFL IS SITTING WITH BLACKMAIL, which doesn't seem true at all. these bozos used work emails for dumb shit, like sending pictures of coerced cheerleaders to each other, but it's such a specific connection, can't be that many people wrapped up in it.
Alexis Marshall, the vocalist from Daughters, is apparently an abuser.
I was guessing it was him when she made that first album and said it was a prominent Providence musician. There are not many prominent Providence musicians.
This isn’t the first time it’s been brought up from her. I’ve known a few women that have have had stories about Alex and I’m kinda surprised it’s still going on.

My cousin had a bad experience when her husband’s band was touring with Daughters.
