Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Rescheduled for the fall. I completely understand but I’m dying over all the shit I’m missing starting this weekend and running through May. RTJ premier, Tyler premier, Disco Biscuits, The Who, Foo Fighters, Dead and Co, Turkuaz RiL premier, Umphreys and on and on. I like to be up around 40-50 shows by May because that’s how much I would have wanted to see by then.
Problem is wtf to do now that the shit I was going to do in the spring and fall is all condensed. I guess I’ll focus on local festivals but that would be Voodoo, Buku, Jazz Fest x2 in 8 weeks. How will Bonnaroo and ACL fit in? Can I even afford 6 festivals in 2 months even though I mostly have tickets? Probably not.

I have not heard anything but it would be business idiocy (see Ultra) to not offer refunds for those who want them. All other reschedules are doing it, I'd feel pretty confident JF will do it. Bigger Q, as esteban asked, is how will people be able to do that many shows in a short time frame. Do the shows scale back to accept that is likely the new reality and gross revenue will be way down?

Front gate wasn’t looking to offer refunds for Bonnaroo.

Bonnaroo moves from it's normal June 2021 slot to September. So, I'd say Jazz Fest 21 is officially on the clock for will they/won't they try to go in April/May. Same thing for Coachella and Hangout and all the other early/spring shows in '21. Let the dominoes begin to fall....

I bet Hangout had a plan before that Hurricane. Have any spring fest announced Sept. Oct moves yet? Buku or okachobee?

Buku is off for March 2021. They are going to do something alternative the week before Voodoo. I can't link the image for ****, so I'll have to type it. Sorry about the typos in advance. I guess this is the start of dominoes unless some have already fallen.
#BUKREWE - We miss you like hell. 2020 has been a wild ride and we hope y'all are hanging in there.
So here's the deal...things are still too crazy with COVID to continue planning for a March Buku. Cases are up, restrictions on large gatherings are still tight, and, even tho there is some promising vaccine news for later in 2021, widespread availability by March 2021 seems unlikely.
Our two main priorities - fan safety and fan enjoyment - are guiding us, and we just can't picture 25k of us partying together safely in March in the free-roaming BUKU atmosphere that y'all love. A'int nothing socially distant about BUKU.
So in the spirit of transparency and certainty, we're making the tough call now - March 2021 is OUT and the big BUKU will return March 2022 for the blowout 10th Year Anniversary.
But there's no way we can wait that long to throw a party. October 22-23, 2021 will bring you BUKU: Planet B - an immersive one-time only, alternative take on Buku. Stay tuned for more in the new year and throughout the Spring...we're so excited to step out of our comfort zone and get creative with you. For those diehards who rolled their tickets over from 2020, check your email for info on refunds or rolling over to October 2021 or March 2022.
It's weird times right now, but there's light at the end of the tunnel. Let's keep our heads up, our masks on and keep encouraging each other to be as dope and positive as possible.
October is going to whip some ass. Hopefully Vieux will make a 2021 thread. Lineup for Jazz Fest, Voodoo and Buku Planet B October fests should be out within the next 5 weeks. I think there's a less day or two in October's Jazz Fest, but it's only 6 months until next April. So hopefully shit-tons of great musicians will be in town. All I know so far is that I got some emails from Nolafunk. Some of the shit that's out:
Allman Bets Band with Tab Benoit and Samantha Fish 10/8 @ Fillmore
Karl Denson's Tiny Universe (A Diesel Insane) plays music of David Bowie Friday 10/15 (you know that shit's going to be good)
I already have tickets for the 15th to the rescheduled Turkuaz w/ Adrian and Jerry @ The Joy. I'll see that at Bonnaroo. If someone doesn't get to see it and begs me for the ticket, I'd probably have to oblige. But I'm figuring I'm going to want to see this again.
The Disco Biscuits are playing a 2 night run also at the Joy 10/16 and 10/17 @ 11pm - ?. I fucking love The Joy. They always took care of me there from security to all their bartenders. Our own VC's man, the jeremy, is a boss there. TDB in town means there will be super late shows that weekend of shit like SPAGA and Star Kitchen. There's almost no way that I'm missing both TDB shows, but I don't have tickets yet.
New Mastersounds are doing a 12:30am show at HoB 10/15. I always loved those motherfuckers, but I'm not going to be able to catch that show. They're also playing the next day at 8:00pm. So that's kind of cool.
James Taylor + Jackson Browne is @ SKC on the 16th.
I have been 60/40 on Jazz Fest. Really want to go for my 40th Bday but very hard to pull off with four kids to find people to watch. Sitting here looking at Dead and Co dates as I am out of town for the local date. Hopefully this is my opening.

See ACL thread, but it looks like they’ll be playing first weekend of Jazz Fest on Saturday 10/9. No doubt they’ll bring out George Porter Jr., which I’d bet money on. As you know as a long time fan, they introduced The Meters to the world where their funk was accepted by the acid trippers and hippies granting them associate act status for the last 5 decades.

I saw the 10/9 date on the GD Reddit forums too. Was leaning second weekend but will have to shift. Flights seemed to have leveled out. $214 round trip from Buffalo feels pretty good. Brought it up in a text to the significant other regarding dates to take off for vacation at work and she did not say no so there is hope.
Word. I was going to delete this thread and just create a NOLA October thread for JF/JF/Buku/Voodoo 2021 one. but it only deleted the first post. Hopefully someone else will so we can get back to specific festival threads for 2022. Anyway, I have second week booked for night shows but not weekend 1. So we’ll have to see if Umphrey’s or Tribe or Cheese comes in weekend 1.
For future Voodoo thread, a jam fan told me today that Panic is doing a 3 night run for Halloween. I won’t be there due to Voodoo but that probably means they won’t play Jazz Fest this year.
Please be more careful in your wording. I should've interpreted better based on the context of the thread conversation but Jesus Christ I was upset for a hot second there.
