Tbh sans a few shows in the 2010s before 2016 the strokes were pretty bad live and genuinely seemed like they didn’t care but ever since that GovBall show something has changed.
Saw that show and saw them in 2015 at Shaky Knees. Edge goes to Gov Ball, but that SK set was awesome too. I really think them playing without the pressure of a contractually obligated album helped cool whatever tensions they had. Since 2015, they’ve been able to do basically whatever they want. Anything that they’re doing now, it’s because they decided to. That makes a difference.
He's never played in Houston, so it may just be Texas overall, but he's doing rallys for bern, maybe he can jump on the play Tx before the end election train.

I would love to get Bon Iver since I haven't gotten to see him this tour, but the timing of those dates seem to be more about voter registration deadlines than anything, and they feel like one-offs for that situation. Would love to be wrong, though!

Yeah I just want it and will grasp at whatever tenuous threads I can until I will it through
I haven't seen The Strokes since 2011, but I saw them twice that year, and both performances were extremely phoned-in. As in showing up 20 minutes late to a 90-minute performance and still ending 10 minutes early while just generally playing like they didn't want to be there. I feel like a ton of their mystique is purely based upon their infrequent and unpredictable touring habits. Those guys all clearly hate each other too. (Although nothing will be as bad as Julian solo before the Voidz name was established, that was rough.)
Saw them twice last year and they have great chemistry and they sounded awesome. The break helped them big time.

The news about the WI voter dates make me think that Bon Iver is likely a weekend exclusive, or even more likely, not on the lineup. Hope he's on the lineup at least one weekend. I watched one of his Chicago shows on youtube recently and they sounded great and had an insanely cool stage setup.
is there actually? of course i chose acts from different posters already released but i didn’t intend to take too much from one. this is only the first one so it’ll improve as time goes on.

Lana Del Rey, Flume, Vampire Weekend, RTJ, Tenacious D, DaBaby, King Gizz, Glass Animals, Leon Bridges, Marc Rebillet, Wallows, Slowthai, Kevin Gates,...
I get how you approach a mock, it makes sense that there's overlap. Just feels too heavy on the "bigger" bands.
