Been away from the real world for a bit so I missed the testing news. I’m sure c3 is still negotiating with the city but not a great sign that they haven’t said anything official. I don’t see how the fest goes forward if tests are required.

we went ahead and scheduled tests for the day before we leave but I am sort of nervous if it's going to be every time you enter you need a 72 hr, and would I need to get a 2nd test to also get in on Sunday

I'm pretty sure they've established that you will only need the single test 72hrs before the first day of the festival

A few outlets have been doing festival ticket giveaways the last week (Austin Chronicle today) and construction is well under way. Don’t think it’s getting canceled. Probably seeing if they can get away without the requirement if it lowers from Stage 4.
“Then on Friday, interim Austin Public Health Director Adrienne Sturrup said at a media briefing, "At this current time, the health and safety guidelines are recommending that event organizers ask for proof of a negative test within 72 hours of the event. Of course, a patron has the option of opting out of testing by showing proof of vaccination.”
Both they and Levitation worded it that way which is so weird. "Test will be required. Except if you are vaccinated (ie most people)."
That's how every event in Austin (and TX in general) has been wording it to get around the requirement. Test first and foremost and Vax status in smaller font.
Alright with a week out, final schedule for me is:
Friday: Camp for George Saturday: Gracie Abrams -> Surfaces -> Charley Crockett -> Phoebe Bridgers -> Freddie Gibbs -> still undecided between just taking a break and eating or a little bit of The Hu -> Dayglow -> Billie Sunday: White Reaper -> Cautious Clay -> Marc -> St. Vincent -> Tyler
I hope the Austin Kiddie Limits stage will come back next year.
They've already confirmed it will. In their tweet they said it's taking a pause this year and returning next year. They're still allowing anyone under 10 in for free though.
