Curveball: Black Rebel Motorcycle Club was added to the "official playlist".
I'll take it! Doesn't seem too much of a curveball though, given that Psycho has previously booked bands like Brian Jonestown Massacre and Black Angels...

I can see both sides, honestly. One of those guys was in BMJ if I remember right. I'm ambivalent to it but would check it out if it doesn't conflict.
Really hoping that Curl Up and Die plays this, they just reunited and they're from Las Vegas so it seems like almost too easy of a booking. Also hoping for a Converge 20th anniversary Jane Doe set, and Gojira would be nice.

I still can't get over Danzig as #1 when you have US exclusives from Mercyful Fate and Emperor. But they were desperate for a 3rd headliner from what I heard so it's whatever. Hope they counter another stage with Ulver or just more time to hang at the casino.

I just wrote it off to Danzig being the name that has more widespread recognition even if genre fans are probably more excited by Mercyful Fate and Emperor by a wide margin. Definitely a case where you look and see what Danzig is up against because they'd be an easy pass for me.
Never seen Zig or misfits in any capacity so I'd still check out a bit.
Fuck i want to see mercyful fate though
Supposed to be saving money/not going to fests this year, so really hope they expand it out some.
Pretty sure MF is a US exclusive. You got one shot and should make 2021 the year to save.
I'm finally home from work and can dig in. Pretty excited about Zola Jesus and Drab Majesty. I never would have thought of either of those. WITTR is an added bonus.
I can feel it. Since the initial splash they made in the oughts, it's fizzled a lot. At least from my perspective. They're still really big everywhere else though. While Mayhem is really influential, there's two original member, one that joined after Per killed himself, and a buncha hired guns. The last time I saw them was in a club. I wouldn't be shocked if that's not the case this time around, too.
Speaking of, hoping they give Cult of Fire a HoB show. I wouldn't wanna see that outside.
And aren't headlining sets there 90 minutes? Lucifuge is like 45 at best. I'm sure a few hits after that. I just don't think we're outta the Elvis fire just yet.

Misfits were likely more $$$ replacement for Megadeth last year . This #1 spot may have been part of the fine print.
Promoters must spend a year doing paperwork on some of those exclusives. I wonder if any "US exclusive" acts pop up in Canada.
Still gotta catch Boris live. Pig Destroyer would be cool.
Dengue Fever is a weird one to throw in there.
Blonde Redhead and Warpaint also very nice non-metal acts. Health. Zola Jesus. A lot of stuff, really. Not really excited by the Lips at this point, but sure.
Agree that BRMC (and BOC) seem really high, while Pig Destroyer seem awfully low.

I saw them do a two night run in Baltimore in September. I originally went to see Cemetery Piss open one night and Outer Heavens the next. Glad I went for the deuce as they ruled both. They should been higher.
Must See - Mercyful Fate Ulver Cult of Fire Emperor Mayhem At The Gates Drab Majesty Old Man Gloom Intronaut Wolves In The Throne Room Glacial Tomb
If I even get to see half of these, it's money well spent. Elder should be on here but I'll get them in May.
