I highly doubt that this festival gets Tame.
Seems more likely that Tame actually reschedules the majority of the tour from July - early Sep to next year and adds NYC and Philly and other dates than just playing Firefly this fall.
Well, Governors Ball (my other "local" major festival that weekend) is out for me as I'm clearly way past the demographic they're targeting. But...I'm hoping Firefly can grab some of GovBall's undercard: Portugal. The Man - Future Islands - Orville Peck - Bartees Strange - Phoebe Bridgers - Big Thief - Jamie XX

A friend who sometimes pretends to know things tells me DMB is headlining Friday. Anyone have anything to confirm or discredit that?
Well...to be fair...the current DMB website has a show 9/22 in New Jersey. Next show is 9/26 in Tennessee. And if geography serves me well, they must go south lol.
So yeah - nothing to discredit that possibility.
With that being said...what credibility does he/she have? any more insight than what I laid out above?

I would** be absolutely ecstatic to see Dave at Firefly. Don't set me up like this! I'm just not convinced he fits the framework of Firefly. So trying not to disappoint myself. All signs do indeed point to Friday, though.

I mean...with the logistics I outlined above...I'm comfortable taking this as a scoop. Call me crazy. You heard it here first folks. Local bowler confirms DMB for firefly 2021.

They are doing LIB the week before. I'm just thinking of other rock bands that would headline. It's probably more likely they just re-booked Foo Fighters.
While this sounds good....it just sounds too expensive, IMO.
They may be able to swing 2/3, but I don't see a scenario where we get all three.

I don't know if it's too expensive, Life is Beautiful got Green Day - Billie - Tame.
I would say in terms of fee:
Green Day = DMB Billie = Billie Foo = Tame (Foo is probably more expensive on second thought, but Firefly is a bigger festival with an extra day, so i think that bridges the gap).
But Firefly has also rolled Halsey and Post as their 3rd headliners in recent lineups so not getting my hopes that they'll pull Foo Fighters as a Number 3 this year.
Delaware is removing almost all of the outdoor event restrictions starting May 21, so can't see anything stopping this now.
Curious if this had anything to do with the lineup not being out yet?
If Firefly was known for their quality lineup timing I would say maybe, but since it never really has been, I wouldn't think so. I think it's unlikely but who knows.
