I'm thinking Firefly will probably only have 4 stages this year with the reduced capacity, with 6-7 bands playing each stage daily, or roughly 26 bands a day (78 for Fri-Sun total), and then only around 15 bands on the shorter Thursday billing. Also curious as to how the diminished college crowd will impact sales and demographics.
03/14 - Thievery Corporation 04/25 - Black Country, New Road 05/04 - In Flames, Gatecreeper 05/10 - Modern Life is War 05/21 - Spite, Bodysnatcher, Thrown 05/29 - Knocked Loose, Loathe, Show me the Body, Speed 06/02 - Bush 06/22 - George Thorogood 06/23 - Dillinger Escape Plan, Deadguy, Candy, Carbomb

I noticed on the "experience" page of the website, they only list two stages - the treehouse and the "nest", which is apparently new.
No mention of the prism/lawn/main stage. Or would you argue the main stages are implied?

Regardless, we need some clarity on this.
the one map they have uploaded, just shows the main stage. nest reminds me of the forest stage

They probably listed those stages on the experience page because they're probably not official stages, just spaces for Firefly artists to do acoustic or intimate sets.

yeah looking at Billies lineup she also has it listed as Thursday. If this is 4 full days for the first time ever this lineup is a lot worse unless there are significant additions when the daily’s drop

Absolutely not. I'm confident it will sell out in no more than a few weeks.
Let's not forget that 2017 barely sold 50,000 tickets, and there will probably be a couple major deterrents for attendees this year that were never a problem before. For one, the late September scheduling for a camping festival.. This precludes most college students, and the lows in DE that time of year average in the mid 50's, which could be a huge camping deterrent (and also make for some chilly late night sets). Secondly, Firefly has indicated that they're going to separate the vaccinated from the anti-vaxxers, giving those vaccinated a better viewing experience of the stages.. that could be a huge political turnoff for a lot of people, too. The lineup has also garnered lukewarm reception on social media. I'm not convinced this is a sellout, not for a while at least. This could all be wishful thinking though since I'm only eyeing a day pass for Tame Impala.. fingers crossed.

I don't think segregated viewing has been put in stone yet. Was just reported as a possibility by local news. Besides, I'm vaccinated, advocate for the vaccination, and still think that's pretty fucked up.
As far as I'm concerned, everything you listed above is a perk for me.
I would like day passes so I can pop down on Saturday for Tame, but I think it's highly unlikely. I question why it's limited capacity. Everything in the Tri State area will not have any capacity restrictions after June 11th

It's a perk for me also, I don't want the bros or excessive sweating either, plus the sun setting by 6:30 leaves more time for night sets.. I don't think there's enough appreciation given to just how unique a major Northern festival taking place is in the Fall. This probably won't ever happen again for all these fests postponed from the summertime. I may just throw down for a weekend pass if it does approach selling out.
Another bonus for Firefly is that even though it's during the active hurricane season, Delaware is notoriously more protected than any other East Coast state (barring New England) from getting hit by a hurricane.

Firefly 2015 wants to have a word with you about this! Holy smokes I thought I was going to end up over the rainbow the night Kings of Leon was supposed to headline.
Sometimes Delaware will get the outskirts or remnants of a hurricane or tropical storm, but nothing devastating. Even in 2015 that storm only affected one night of the festival, as opposed to entirely wrecking shit. Hurricanes usually get shot out to sea before hitting DE when heading north because of the way the Carolinas contour eastward. But even when hurricanes do hit Jersey and NY (like Sandy and Irene), DE is largely unaffected. Nor'Easters are typically the real threat weather-wise here, and those don't develop until late Fall/Winter.

Firefly's loss.
Held off on tickets for now. Would rather spend the money on the local DC shows for Tame and Rebillet, and am hoping Phoebe announces standalone shows as well.

You're going to need to hit the re-sale market. Firefly sales today were absurd. Probably limited amount available. Regardless, their communication of today's "pre sale" was really bad.

Can't make the 23rd anyway, so I can live with not attending this year. Hope everybody that attends has a killer time though.

Absurd how?
The line system seemingly let people in at random, but the real problem was that the tiers didn’t refresh automatically, meaning that once tier 1 (which wasn’t advertised as such - I’m pretty sure there was no mention of the price tiers before 10am) sold out, the add to cart button would error people out and say the item was gone, which gave the impression that the whole festival was almost immediately sold out. For some folks (myself included) it wouldn’t update at all.
This also affected camping, particularly north camping, which took maybe half an hour to update to tier 2 after selling all of 1, so a lot of people wound up getting tickets and not being able to buy the most affordable camping option, or being forced to buy one of the upgrade options so that they would have a camping option at all. Our crew of 10 people were on standby and managed to get enough GA passes on tier 2, but it looked like north was just gone, so we ended up getting a group camping pass (which works, but wasn’t what we had planned).
