I've completely stopped listening to new music actually. Not even intentionally, and it makes me kinda sad. Just haven't made the time. I think the last full new album I listened to was Spillage Village maybe? And half of clipping. and Matt Berninger. Idk, I've been slacking hard lately.

A Very Special HM: Freezepop, an incredibly goofy synthpop band that I've loved for a long time (you may know them best from the songs they have in rhythm video games during the aughts, especially Guitar Hero/Rock Band), put out their first new album in 10 years, Fantasizer, this month. Because any activity by this band is fleetingly rare, this album feels more like a relic to me than anything else. It doesn't feel appropriate it to give it AoTM, but it also doesn't feel appropriate to not given it any special recognition. I wanted to give them a bit of space somewhere on this board, and here feels as good a place as any. Here's to all those weirdo bands we love dearly.
HM: Annie, Bartees Strange, Eartheater, Ela Minus, Horse Meat Disco, Italians Do It Better, John Frusciante, Melanie C, Nothing, Open Mike Eagle, Osees, PUP, Róisín Murphy, Sen Morimoto, Shamir, Songhoy Blues

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I'm very behind this month with all this election business. I just skimmed through about 25 albums and narrowed it down to 9 that I want to listen to fully. At the moment, Helena Deland is in the lead.
