The Thursday lineup really makes you wonder why Bonnaroo has Thursday at all
Oh, I'm sorry. Didn't know your big brain already knows and has listened to all of the acts when the majority is surprised by how little they know of the Thursday-acts.

Can’t wait to shake my ass at “The Great Curve” during that Turkuaz set
Yeah. I'm hoping to get it either on TV with Coachella or live at Jazz Fest. I haven't seen Adrian Belew since King Crimson's Thrak Tour whenever that was (94/95?). I also saw him twice with his rock side project The Bears 2x back in the 80's. He's one of the greats and an innovator of industrial noise and feedback. I think he mostly just plays up there and probably isn't over-featured. But I'm definitely excited for this.

I’m ever so slightly disappointed that the Talking Heads set will be Remain in Light again after the amazing Angelique Kidjo Remain in Light show in 2017
Awesome album ofc but wouldn’t mind something different

Andy Frasco Dabin The Funk Hunters Mize Scarypoolparty Taska Black The Regrettes Too Many Zoos
I'm personally stoked for Thursday
That’s great! This certainly can be on me and my tastes. The rest of the lineup is pretty good, and just made Thursday that much more underwhelming to me.

Makes me regret missing Kidjo's set just a little less now.

I've been gone for years and one of the first things I see when I get on here is jugs being a pessimist. Just like the good ole days. I've missed yall and I'm stoked to see yall this year
I'm like a metalhead who can't fully commit so I'm loving all the fringe pseudo metal on the lineup! I heard Uncle Acid might be considered more metal than Primus and Tool. However, King Gizz's most recent album is undeniably THRASH even though they aren't a metal band. Then Tenacious D likes to pretend to be metal

yeah that's honestly really fair. it's hard to be blown away by your "up and coming" Thursday when the rest of the lineup is just stacked all around. definitely check out some of those artists though. and do not. do not miss the Regrettes. easily one of my favorite Who stage performances ever
I don't like that I like this lineup. Every year, when people are listing who they want to see on the lineup, 90% of the time its just people's favorite bands they want to see all in one place. Very little thought is given to rarities like international bands, collabs, and semi-retired legacy acts. Though this lineup is lacking in several areas that I miss from the early 2010s lineups, they throw me bones like Tool, Primus, Tenacious D, King Gizz, and Vampire Weekend, ALL who I've seen before, but ALL who I'd 100% see again. That was a dirty, dirty trick, Bonnaroo!
I think it has some of those things, lots of international bands, Oysterhead is semi-retired, Turkauz Talking Heads set is an interesting collab. At least compared to other lineups out there, this one has way more rare and unique acts.

May 15th: Flying Lotus
June 11th: The Postal Service
June 13-16th: Roo
August 3rd: Grove Music Festival (Phoenix, Hot Chip, Girl Talk)
Without doing much research, my initial list by day:
THUR GOO 99 Neighbors Funk Hunters Larkin Poe Regrettes Too Many Zooz
FRI Tool Bassnectar RTJ Young the Giant Megan Thee Stallion Brittany Howard Primus Dashboard Confessional Band Camino Turkuaz Svdden Death Marc Rebillet Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats
SAT Lizzo Flume Oysterhead Tenacious D Jason Isbell Superjam Nelly Marcus King Band
SUN Tame Impala Vampire Weekend Leon Bridges Flogging Molly Rezz Boombox Cartel Greensky Bluegrass Struts Orville Peck
I've seen most of the color names before (Tool, Lizzo, Nectar, Oysterhead, Tenacious D, Flogging Molly, Flume, RTJ, YTG) but all I would love to see again. Pretty good lineup.

Eh they also missed a lot of the artists that seemed for me like actual up-and-comers this year. JPEG, Weyes Blood, Julia Jacklin, Black midi, etc. Also I’d rather acts like Yola, Nilufer Yanya, and Orville Peck on Thursday with the party stuff on the other days but that’s just personal preference
His curated events are super dope. He's a very versatile DJ and can mix together different tempos to set the mood right. His fest sets are almost always the uptempo variety, though.
For this NOLA run he did Beats Friday, Downtempo Saturday and Ambient Sunday.
In a just world, we'd get a Tipper sunrise set on the Other, but I really doubt it for Bonnaroo. He'd play ambient stuff like this:
Man this ambient set fucks, can we just open up the Who Stage ln and let the man do a Big Ears-style 12-12 ambient set
