On a non-schedule note, which artists are we expecting new music from between now and June?
Tame Impala (album out 2/14) The 1975 (album out 2/21) Run the Jewels Glass Animals Jason Isbell Pinegrove (album out 1/17) EOB?
There are always surprises, but anyone else I should be on the lookout for or already have something announced?
Leon Bridges and Khraungbin have a joint album coming out soon. I read a CoS article today that said Lana has another album in the works but idk when in the year. King Gizz will probably release three between now and June.

Also Kevin Gates played the Roots Picnic a few years ago, the one year it was in New York. The year the Roots headlined with John Mayer and D'Angelo.
Anyway, Kevin Gates played at about 3pm, very out of place set cause there was almost no "rap" there, mostly late 80s/early 90s hip hop and X Ambassadors for some reason.
During a break between songs, Kevin Gates says "how many of y'all ladies out there got that good pussy? Make some noise if y'all got that good pussy."
I watched a dad with his two sons, each probably between 6 and 10 years old, holding hands with both and walking towards the stage to check out who was playing, and when he heard that line from KG, he, in one smooth motion like a scene from the simpsons, did a 180, sons on each hand, and walked right out of the festival.
Updated this bad boi. Superjam is now LN. also I want oysterhead as the ln act so it’s biased. I do think RTJ could easily play the main stage, they will most likely play the main stage at Coachella. I don’t see them conflicting nectar and tipper.
I'm pretty tempted to get involved with making a mock schedule but I know that most of us are going to be completely wrong and there will be some serious surprises when the schedule comes out.

Can someone who's a big fan of tipper perhaps fill me in on some albums/songs to listen to or give me a rundown on what to expect? I was hoping to like some more of the electronic music this year but to be honest I really don't, was hoping for a big name house act.
I've been diving into Jason Isbell's discography after reading through this thread, really impressed with his songwriting. How is he live??
Lastly, I can't help but feel there's a Wilco sized hole in this lineup
Kind of cool that there is such minor criticism of the lineup in real life or Inforoo. I personally give it a B or B+ and I feel like anyone interested could probably do a couple lineup changes and end up being almost completely happy. Biggest criticism seems to be EDM balance and that’s small considering there will be other shit added in that vein. I’d actually like more harder shit (Disciple, Black Label, Never Say Die, Wakaan) , but I’ll live with it. I don’t know anyone who goes who isn’t going so that’s cool.

I'm a big loser and am not familiar with Tipper. Where do I start? Specific album?
I'd recommend you watch live shit and not focus on any of the albums or tapes. He's got like 30 releases (albums, ep's and tapes). He is from London and has been around a long time (since like the late 90's or something). He's a non-douchy guy and kind of always stayed underground. He can play any type of EDM or IDM and usually plays completely different sets at his Tipper and Friends shows - which incidentally he just played here this past Friday (IDM/Idea set), Saturday (Downtempo Set) and Sunday (Ambient). He's literally one of the most creative producers there is.
All of his shows are completely different and often feature the work of some of the world's greatest graphical artists. Expect him to do something unique at Bonnaroo. Some recent shows I can recommend are: 1) Tipper at Voodoo 2018 where he did a specific Voodoo themed show with dancing shadows, voodoo shit and all and then the next night at Hulaween 2018. Skim through them. You're going to notice it tends trippy way more than it does bass-y, but he can throw down if he wants to in that realm as well.
He's got kind of a cult following of freaks who travel all over the country to see him when he's here. I've seen him maybe 7 or so times, and it was always entertaining. If you "experiment" you will probably get more out of it.

Somebody asked that yesterday on either this thread or the other thread. My answer is that he had like 30 releases and so you don’t know what you will get at a given show. I’m assuming he will do an uptempo or journey set with some IDM. Best advice is pull up live shows on YouTube. Hula 18 is a good place to start. Skim through lots of recent shit and you can get a feel. Expect the best graphics of the weekend. He’ll announce later who he is collaborating with on the art. All the shows are unique, and it will be tailored for Bonnaroo - again more likely to be on the more uptempo and harder side than ambient or trip or all the other types of shows he does.
Maybe see if you can find some of him scratching too. He kicks ass.

Thank you! I should've seen that but there's a lot to read around here lol
Yo so I asked the person sitting next to me what studio Tipper he liked best and he said most of what he likes best is unreleased live shit he plays. Fair. He did say 4 song EP, It’s like, he really liked. I don’t know any of it by name so I can’t vouch but I will check it out too.
People watching entertainment or smh should be peak especially if he goes on late.

Watching Hulaween now, yeah you're right this is trippy. I dig it. I can definitely see this on other, hopefully with that increased production they promised. I would say one of the tents but I'm not sure they have good enough screens. So will he tweet or put on his website who exactly he'll collaborate with?

My fav of his albums are his newest Jettison Mind Hatch. I’d check out his Flunked ep and the song it’s like that. No scholar on the man but I do enjoy his tunes. That should be a decent test to see if you’re into it.
Yeah. I don’t follow that so people who do usually send me screen shots when I’m involved in seeing him. He uses Dr01d - check him out at dr01dvisuals.com Datagrama, Tenorless and Android Jones among others.
His main guy is Johnathan Singer. Check him out at johnathansinger.com
Been deep diving into Isbell’s discography. I don’t think I’m gonna get through his set without crying, guys.
If you don’t cry, you’re a monster. So good for you
I’m fine with feeling feelings, but I’m just worried about the people whose shrooms are gonna hit as soon as Isbell starts singing about a drunk woman dying of cancer.
