He is from our hometown area in the Shoals in Northwest Alabama. Dude has been working hard for years and is amazing songwriter.
He's bringing along the whole 400 Unit with him, which means it's going to be a bit more of a grungy Modern Southern Rock sound, kind of a step or two below what Sturgill Simpson is doing these days. Listen to their album that was recorded live at the Ryman for a good idea of what to expect!

Have we discussed how there is a lot more obvious other fodder on the lineup this year, meaning it’s likely they do scheduled sets until 6am or so rather than a surprise kalliope type setup?
For example 13 acts on Friday not counting Bassnectar vs 8 last year

I hope they do schedule the acts, better for the fans. But I still imagine the BNA will still be in that 1am slot, with lower billed acts playing until sunrise.

Really enjoying digging into this undercard, and also want to echo what's already been said that 3 of Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, Big Thief, Julia Jacklin, Angel Olsen, Soccer Mommy, U.S. Girls, Jay Som, Sharon Van Etten could've bumped it up a level.
I'll have to check, but I think the Fall makes 3 years since Big Thief have played Tennessee.

Y'all give me a hard time sometimes, but I love my day job, travel the world, have a fun hobby, and get to hang out with awesome friends. Why would I not take it in stride? 😂
Seriously though, you're more than welcome to come hang on Thursday when we're going to have a little something going on. We have a brewery in Huntsville that gave us a giant case of beer to give away for free, I imagine we'll have that again. Nothing illicit, but a company out of Austin sends me a ton of festival supplies that I'll have to give away too. Looking forward to seeing you!

I only agree because they already have done multiple LN tents. And the acts they booked that are more rap related should probably take up that space with all the conflicts. I have a strong feeling they will be a What Stage day act like Kendrick and Nas have been in the past.
