I had been trying to see Primus for like 5 years, and then they visited my city in both 2018 and 2019 and I felt hella blessed! They do the unique poster prints for each show so between them, TooL, and the yearly lineup poster, I'm probably gonna drop $150+

I haven't even begun to think what my poster budget is going to be yet.
Hoping these band have individual posters
Tool, Primus, RTJ, Tenacious D, Tame, and VW. plus the Bonnaroo poster

I've been wanting to see Primus for a long time, but hearing them in my playlist lately I'm not too convinced anymore and I might skip them if there's a conflict. Strange how musical taste changes over the years. Maybe I'll be into them again when it's closer to the festival.

I get what you’re saying. But trust me... Do not miss this set. Primus will melt your face off live. And the crowd will be bananas.

Frickin epic !!!
This was my first “Primus” show. Completely sober at the time. What an epic show. Don’t skip Primus at Roo . I skipped them last time in 2011 for mmj , I don’t regret it all. Hopefully we get a Primus LN set!!!!!!

Primus during Bassnectar would be ideal, so long as Bassnectar doesn't drown out Primus. I'd heard songs from them before the lineup but have been listening a lot more since the lineup drop and holy moly, this is gonna be nuts on the farm. My Name Is Mud is my favorite so far.

Been kind of waiting for something to push me into Primus and then being on this lineup has done it. I’m very early in the discovery phase but so far my stand out track is Sgt. Baker. What a fucking banger

Not ideal. All the bassheads I know are excited for Primus. Ideally they would play on What before Tool. Bassnectar should be after Tool be it on the Other, What or Which. Tipper should be after that. That 4 act run would rule.

Their Sgt Baker/Too many puppies mashup works super well both musically and thematically. Hope they include it in the setlist, though they are one of those bands that change up every show. They also tease riffs in between songs which can be frustrating
Bassnectar should be on the What strictly for sound reasons.
Which means he’ll probably be on the Which overlapping at least a little with every late night act from 12-4. It’ll be awful
I hope they put him on What. In 2018 they avoided the sound issue by simply having Bassnectar play mostly unopposed- the only other option during him was Snakehips over on The Other. Super lame if neither of those artists appealed to you. I think that's when I wandered to House of Yes to watch The Labyrinth.
I can't believe there's a Bonnaroo line-up with Tool, two Claypool shows, Tame Impala, Flume, Vampire Weekend, Lana, Tenacious D, King Gizzard, Run the Jewels and Flogging Molly and odds are I'm not there.
I had to buy Coachella tickets for Rage and Frank. And I love that line-up. But holy shit, this Roo line-up fits my musical taste for the best time since 2015 at least.
Here's hoping I stumble into free/cheap tickets.
Exact same boat as you.
HAD to try my 1st Coachella for FRANK and Rage,
but after dropping $900 on tickets/ Lake ElDorado Tent, Roo ain't happening unless a miracle happens.

I wouldn't get your hopes up for Primus as a pre-HL when there's 9 names between them and Tool on the lineup haha. It will most likely be Miley before Tool.
Public Service Announcement. If you’re just getting into Primus for the first time you can ignore “Brown Album” and “Antipop” for the time being. They will not play songs off either of these albums. Both have some good songs but it’s not their best.

I have them up until the schedule destroys those hopes. The majority of the between acts will not be on What unless a couple of them are early day. My assumption is that Tipper won't be on What, Brittany Howard won't pre-headline, Megan and RTJ probably won't be on What. That leaves The 1975, Young the Giant and Glass Animals besides Miley. Miley is the one who could get in the way, but I'd likely be at something else. Correct me if I'm wrong, but What usually has 5 acts on a Friday or Saturday. Tool is one of the 5. Brittany Howard probably could get a 2 or 4pm slot. That leaves 3. Wallows, YTG or Glass Animals could be one or two of the three that are left. So unless they plan on doing something special with Primus, it's plausible that they could be on What. They should be, but that's not my call.

They busted out Shake Hands With Beef and Fisticuffs on a solo show during the Slayer tour too. Seen this lineup (with Tim back on drums) do Golden Boy too, so I wouldn't say Brown is out of the question at all which is a very good thing. Would love for some Antipop tunes to get some play but that hasn't happened in a long time.

I wouldn't count on them playing anything from either, but I think these albums unfortunately already get ignored when they have some straight-up bangers on them. Electric Uncle Sam would be so fun to open a show.

Electric Uncle Same is awesome!!! I also love Lacquer Head. That song is crazy!!!!

This is from Reddit. Lizzo billed over Tame. I guess this makes sense but it's funny because many of us (myself included) questioned her even being a #3.

Oh man! That’s wild! I’ve seen Primus countless times. And I’ve never seen them perform songs off of Brown or Antipop with Tim on Drums. Tho I did miss their last tour with Slayer. I will gladly welcome a few tracks off both albums live at Roo.

You could also interpret it as the order of the days, although the second line doesn't follow that necessarily.

Listening through some Primus, "Jerry Was a Racecar Driver" came on and I had a trip when I realized the reason I recognized it was because it's on the original Tony Hawk Pro Skater soundtrack on the N64.
