Speaking of rowdy shows, I think Bonnaroo needs at least one great punk band to play Thursday every year. I guess we have The Regrettes this year? We had a small pit at the Who Stage for them in 2018 so I guess it's possible this year. But if I can mosh and experience one crazy show on the first day, it completely rids any anxiety from me for the rest of the weekend. Best example was in 2014 after seeing Cloud Nothings. Took me a while to find my friends after the show but once I did I ran up and hugged everyone. Mac Demarco and Courtney Barnett in 2015 definitely had their moments. Starting the moshpit with RJ at Bully in 2016 is one of my favorite Bonnaroo memories. Being at The Orwells in 2017 was also a really fun memory (even though they turned out to be scumbags). I think this is a really underrated thing at Bonnaroo and they should really put the effort into giving us at least one rowdy punk/metal/hip hop show on Thursday.

Just to get a better sense of the general consensus on where important acts were gonna be billed, I made a little Excel thing that might be of interest on here:
It doesn't have anything from the Other or from earlier in the day, but it was kind of fun still to do the comparisons! Some things that surprised me were that lots of mocks had Bassnectar on the What LN after Tool, and King Gizz LN on the Which (may just be wishful thinking). Sunday seems pretty cut and dry in terms of expectations, but I'll be interested to see how the common wisdom for LN tent sets on Friday and Saturday shakes out
If there's things I should add to this let me know! I could put Thursday in also, but with the alphabetical billing it seems like a bit of a crapshoot

They released 5 albums and played 92 shows in the same calendar year though, not sure they can really be compared to most other bands haha
We may talk shit about Reddit but have y’all ever visited that Bonnaroo: A Loophole to Reality Facebook page? I joined it because they post funny festival and music memes time to time, but god the comments section on those posts are truly always trash. As if the name weren’t cringey enough lol.
It's basically the Other stage of online Bonnaroo chat. They splintered from Inforoo on Facebook (or thrived in contrast to) because it was too negative or something. Kind of like how /r/reddaroo and their Facebook group is even more extreme /r/bonnaroo of forced positivity (not from the mods, just the users). I think I got banned for telling someone their roo clue guess was wrong because the tour dates? They said they didn't allow negativity like that and I should let people guess whatever they want and have hope.
Sun Ra said space is the place. Subtract Mr Ra, the Arkestra too, add George Bailey and just a fraction of the universe of which a euro pop tart did zing.
Friday: Uncle Acid > Turkuaz > Miley Cyrus > The 1975/PPPP, would probably choose The 1975 > Tool > Primus/RTJ/Bassnectar conflict, would choose Primus
Saturday: EOB/slowthai conflict > Billy Strings/DaBaby conflict, would probably choose Billy Strings > Jason Isbell > Kevin Gates / Mandolin Orange conflict > Oysterhead > Lizzo > King Gizz/yaeji/denzel curry/superjam conflict omg. but would probably choose king gizz

very conflict-y schedule for me but nothing looks incorrect. biggest reach is the king gizz which extended set but it's not impossible. yaeji not on the other is an interesting choice.
I could easily see LN Which being Oysterhead, Gizz or even Tenacious D if they're trying to recreate that Lonely Island magic
i agree flume > lizzo is the most likely scenario. lots of uncertainty around tenacious d/oysterhead/king gizz though. i'd guess tenacious d LN which/TLI slot is the most likely scenario, with oysterhead pre HL which. maybe with king gizz in this tent LN? or bad scenario, king gizz in a pre-HL tent.
Slightly concerned where King Gizzard might be on the schedule. Most of the acts in color usually end up on the What or Which stage and I don't think King Gizzard will get late night Which. Bonnaroo couldn't possibly mess up that hard by not giving them a 2 hour late night tent set could they?

Eh I think that's just how the schedule worked out last year. There are too many color names this year for it to be the same imo. I'm putting my faith in Bonnaroo that Gizz will be LN which or a tent. They just don't make sense anywhere else on the schedule

But they almost totally messed up Umphrey's Mcgee in 2017. They kind of messed up Ween in 2016 too, so that's where my concern comes from. It's not impossible that they drop the ball on this. But I think they've probably learned from those mistakes.
