Came here to express excitement over the confirmation of late night from the pod cast. Man what a weight off my shoulders. It’s cool to hear him say that he saw them and said they just have to be there and that they have to be late night. Well they clearly get it

Do you think they even know they've already played the fest?
Was surprised to hear how much they pay attention to survey results and they mentioned that they pay attention to reddit but didnt mention inforoo. Said Tame Impala was the most requested act via surveys.
I think Inforoo could do a better job of either indirectly or directly trying to get these two humans to know what we like and want leading up to the next year.
They come here for the feens. Reddit for new sales
Alright I know I’m not the brightest, but making a clashfinder has me utterly confused. Hopefully I’ll figure it out, because I’ve always wanted to make one

it is very unintuitive. but hey, shit is free, and you'll get it eventually.
but maybe try this. click the "feeling nerdy? switch to text editing" button on the top of the screen.
then click "update". this will at least go ahead and autopopulate your clashfinder with the correct dates, bands, and stages. then you can just drag and drop acts, expand set times etc. to your hearts content.

How date you shame Tool like that. 0% chance the #1 booked artist doesn’t close the What their night.
RTJ > Tool. BN LN Which seems more realistic.
I don't think Bassnectar gets the Which Stage again. In 2018 they literally had to make him unconflicted so he didn't ruin everyone's set inside Centeroo. But having an artist unconflicted on the Which causes its own problems. Bassnectar getting the What Stage has been requested by everyone for a long time and it'd be a waste to drop the ball yet again this year. It'd be better for the fans and better for everyone that doesn't want Bassnectar sound bleed ruining whatever show they're at. As long as Tool plays a two hour show at night does it really matter whether they're closing that stage?
I also wouldn't dismiss the possibility of it going Bassnectar (8:45-10) > Tool 11:00-1:00

Listening to the podcast now — for the benefit of those who don’t, an important distinction is that the guy who books The Other is C3, not AC. I feel like that matters for why that stage lineup continues to feels so disconnected and unadventurous.
Was there an actual crowd size issue in 2018 with Bassnectar on the Which or was it actual sound issues? Am I making it up that they are making improvements to the Which this year? Personally, I’d much rather have BN LN which. Send everyone there so I can crawl into a tent and get closer for Primus or something interesting.

This is real weird to me. Is there a reason why it’s booked this way?

Bassnectar was insanely loud and from what I've heard was pretty crowded. If they played the Which again you'd have sound bleed issues for Primus late night. Also never forget Bassnectar/D'Angelo sound bleed in 2015.
Friday is just too damn stacked to give Bassnectar essentially an unopposed LN Which slot again. I'd be kinda pissed if that happens, especially since we just had that 2 years ago.

Honestly, it was the loudest shit I’d ever heard at Bonnaroo and it kind of blew my mind that they allowed it to be that loud. I was camping out in this tent for the Superjam and Jesus Christ it scared the shit out of me when it started. We could barely talk to each other, in the fucking this tent. It was wild. I walked to the back of the field because I had to see what it looked like and it hurt my ears all the way in the back. It blows my mind that there were people in the pit for that

that's really a huge downgrade for bassnectar. he will be LN zero questions. i'd say Tool 9-11 and nectar 12-130 is a more likely scenario
Used Bing's as a template for EDM since I have no idea how to bill that. Still playing around with Saturday a lot: clashfinder.com/s/broo20
Your pre-LN schedule for Saturday is pretty perfect for me. Slowthai > DaBaby > Yaeji > JID > Oysterhead > Lizzo would be a wonderful run. In general I'd consider following the billing a little bit closer with your scheduling - The 1975 wouldn't be on Which before RtJ, and I'd prob have DaBaby on later in the day.
Saturday LN though is a cluster (not your schedule specifically, just the lineup in general), and there's seemingly no way I'm gonna end up happy with the schedule that night.

Yeah, LN Saturday has me puling my hair out. Wasn't sure if despite billing Friday we could end up with The 1975>RtJ like we had Kacey>The National last year. Also now realizing as I type it out that Kacey was playing during #GoldenHour which probably dictated that.

Though they're billed right next to each other, I think the gap between RtJ's popularity and the 1975's is pretty substantial. Stranger things have happened though!
