You really think so? I can't see any chain of events that leads to Kendrick Lamar being on the same level in five years that Jay-Z or Eminem are on right now.

Ayyy friendly reminder, band-a-day starts next week and we've only scratched the surface with signups. If I don't get a BIBLICAL flood of interest in the next couple days, Imma start @ing you folks! I've seen a lot of strong opinions in this thread alone so I know the passion is out there! Do not question my resolve.
In other news, I don't think the Grammys have boosted Lizzo's cred as much as some people were hoping. But honestly, Idk how much a couple more awards would have actually done and I'm sure after one more album, she'll be more that suited for that HL spot.
Speaking of grammy winners, I was pretty surprised to see VW win best alt album with all that competition. I'm still holding on hope that they get put on the What stage this year. It seems unlikely that they would stick Lana on Which, but there is precedence for having 1, 2, and 3 in a row on What (2014 with Arctic Monkeys -> Avett Bros -> Elton)

I doubt there were *that* many to begin with, but apparently GA+ is nearing a sellout. FestiveOwl also saying that tickets are moving really fast. When's the earliest this thing would sellout?

What I can say is that they set up this year in a 7 Tier payment system. By the time I got to a ticket earlier this month it was Tier4. I have a strong feeling we are going to be at sell out by mid May when things like Groop registry is finished; and most of the major "extras" are sold out.
Also after the Grammy's... it looks mad foolish that they don't have Tyler on the lineup -- unless they are trying to book him at a higher spot next year.

Has he been announced for anything? I think he’s taking the year off

Something in the Water in April, BUKU in March
This is his third time playing Buku. This is the first time I’ve kind of been wanting to see him since OFWGKTA at Voodoo 2011. Last couple of times he played Buku he was in troll and comedy mode. On the main stage I expect a show. Maybe he will flip me and the crowd off again and I can return the favor. But I’d rather he just go at it.
Is silent disco usually running during the headliners? Gonna skip Lizzo to eat & do that instead if so.
yes, on friday and saturday the silent disco will likely be running during the headliners. if the schedule i'm looking at is correct, last year Mersiv was during Gambino and AC Slater during Post Malone. I think I tried to go to AC Slater but it was packed.
Roo is definitely leagues better than Firefly and Boston Calling ($399 + fees starting price?!) this year imo. But damn, it hurts seeing them both get Rage.
I know Rage definitely costs more than Tool, but do we think they cost THAT much more to the point it would significantly affect the undercard, or did Roo just think it would be better to have a unique booking this year with Tool?

It's straight outta Roo's playbook: Miss a major reunion, but offer us something of high enough caliber that we can't outright complain, only grumble in the shadows. It happened in 2014. No Outkast? Well chew on this fresh slice of YE
Bonnaroo is competing with Osheaga inn my group at the moment. I prefer Roo but it's close and geographically closer.
Holy shit that Sunday is stacked. Kendrick, Bon Iver, Brockhampton, Of Monster and Men, Polo and Pan, Chalie XCX, Orville Peck, Girl in Red, Julia Jacklin would be must sees for me.
Idk shit about shit but I imagine that booking Rage over Tool would cost us about 4-6 names in the colored lettering. Not worth it to me, disregarding the fact that I'd prefer Tool anyway.
Edit: I mean it could just mean we'd lose a ton of the names in white, but still. This lineup is good but not THAT deep.

At least we got Tool though, usually when roo doesn't get the #1 (every year tbh) act, we end up with a 3rd tier replacement
Ill take Tool instead. Also, aside from Coachella, the other fests that got RATM - the rest of their lineups are trash.
I'm fine with seeing Tool at Bonaroo. I'll see them this Saturday too. Their shows are always great. However, I think you painted a broad brush there. The entirety of the lineups overall may not be as appealing, but calling the rest of their lineups "trash" is pretty wrong. There's shit I don't like on both that got released today, but there's good shit there too.
I love Rage but would much rather see them play something like Riot Fest over Roo. I’m glad we got Tool instead. I will be hopped up on goofballs during their set while they melt my face.
