Just like last (couple) years, watching the Memphis tigers (basically everyone in my immediate family's alma mater) is way more fun than watching my tennessee volunteers. Personally I think CFB is stupidly exposing lots of people to a deadly pandemic, but I'm really looking forward to ASU, and quacking Herm Edwards and Jayden Daniels to run through whatever Pac 12 season may occur with reckless abandon.
Go Memphis tigers. Go asu sun devils. Please vols, quit sucking.
A coworker who went to UK is enjoying the ride but knows it'll come to an end as soon as a school with more money realizes he's a good coach.
Idk, man. They are paying him 4.75-5 mil as is. That's good for fifteenth-highest paid coach in college football. I could see him leaving for a more prestigious school, like Texas or Michigan or something like that, but UK has shown they're willing to pony up. Money does not seem like an issue.
He might want to go to Florida State or even Miami, given his previous stints there.
Looks like Kentucky isn't the only L Tennessee took this week.
it's hate week!
Fuck your face.
For real though. After whatever that was yesterday, I was like, "Hey. Let's check the schedule. Hopefully we have an easy opponent, so we might be able to bounce back. Oh. It's Bama. Well there goes that plan. 2-3 it is."
The way Knoxville feels right now, Bailey will start at quarterback, play admirably in what's still a resounding defeat and then promptly get injured in the fourth quarter or bye week practice. If there is anything Vol fans do well, it's going from feeling like an SEC title is a year or two away to wanting to burn the whole program down in two weeks.

Tennessee shits the bed Saturday. Blame gets placed mostly on the offense since quarterback play was totally inept. Today, we fire the defensive line coach. I know we gave up 187 on the ground, but come on, man.
Edit: for more background, he was also co-defensive coordinator. He had been a coach with the team since February, so he had a whopping four game tenure with the team.
It’s exciting to see the real college football season start this weekend. Tired of watching the JV games.
Hoosiers going to a bowl this year?
YOU GADDAMN RIGHT THEY ARE!!!!! (where they will proceed to piss away an insurmountable lead in the 4th qtr or lose on a winning FG kick that can’t be reviewed by instant replay because the kicker kicked it too high)

I really wanted IU to have OOC games this year lol they really got shafted having to just play the East division. I'm a big Penix Jr. fan, I think he's legit

Guarantano starting for Tennessee like it matters who starts.
How bad are your backups that they keep playing that guy?
It's more one of those where they're not as good bc they don't have experience but can't get experience bc they're not as good. Bailey is a true freshman, so his game experience consists of one drive last week. He's reportedly gotten reps in practice this week. Guarantano probably has a short leash. I'd expect to see Bailey if Guarantano fucks up at all where it's his fault or if the game gets out of hand. May as well get Bailey experience if we're down 30+, ya know?
