Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I’m excited to see Animal Collectives set list from the tour opener tonight. Mostly I need to go into their set with reasonable expectations of whether or not it will primarily be debuting new material or if any of the deep cuts make the list. After Bonnaroo and Jacket Alpharetta cancellations I’ve put a lot of weight on this set and if it’s mostly new shit I’ll feel better knowing that before I go in. Really hoping for a banshee beat or Reverend Green
My gf and I are trying to make this happen now. There are some runs that I am absolutely floored to experience (Friday in particular):
Friday:
Ela Minus > KLO > Big Thief > Phoebe > The Weather Station (After Show)
Saturday:
Waxahatchee > Kim Gordon or Jamila Woods > Angel Olson > St. Vincent > Faye Webster (After Show)
Sunday:
Mariah the Scientist > Caroline Polachek > Yves Tumor or Thundercat > Danny Brown > Flying Lotus or Cat Power > Badu
Excited that Phoebe is at night unlike her Roo set was slated to be. Also love that I can knock out 2 of the biggest schedule conflicts with the two after shows. Biggest remaining conflict would be KLO vs. AnCo, but KLO is probably the top act I'd like to see live now so I probably will catch the majority of her show. It's nice the stages are close so I could potentially still see some of AnCo. Also not a fan of the Yaeji/Big Thief conflict, but I'm definitely leaning BT right now. Also bummed that Caroline Polachek is during the day time, but we are doing OSL so I could always just see her there.
Just snagged tickets on Stubhub for $80 ($100 w/fees)! Work logistics for my gf and I made this a stressful week, but I am so excited we made this happen. I won't be getting in until 4:00 on Friday, but the plan is to be at the park for KLO's set and hopefully some of Ela Minus (I might be able to get on a earlier flight). Also ended up grabbing tickets for TWS aftershow on Friday. They posted on Instagram that their next couple shows are happening and that they will have the full 6 piece band with them!
Saturday we are going to do the 360 Skydeck at 10:00 and then explore a bit before getting ready for Saturday. First for sure show will be Waxahatchee, but we may see some of Amaarae if time allows. We were planning on doing the Faye Webster After show, but tickets are sold out. Will probably monitor Stubhub prices, but we may just go out Friday night. Also open to a different aftershow if anyone has recommendations.
Sunday is a bit of a blank canvas aside from seeing The Cloud Gate & Grant Park. We couldn't get Monday off so we will have to catch an 8:30 flight. We may not make it to the fest on Sunday, but if we do we would see Mariah the Scientist & Caroline Polachek before heading to the airport.
Definitely open to meeting up with people at some point this weekend! Is there a set that most folks are going to?

Depending on your stamina, you may want to check out the Special Interest aftershow at Smartbar; Special Interest goes on right at 11:15 and then afterwards there'll be DJ sets all night until 5 AM from two local favorites (Ariel Zetina/Miss Twink USA) and Shyboi. They're not selling tickets on their website anymore but just show up and you'll almost certainly get in.
As for what set most of us are going to be at, I really have no idea. I think most of us will end up at the Blue Stage on Friday for something or other but everyone still seems pretty split (as you can guess from the AnCo/KLO discussion earlier today).

I was at last night's Animal Collective show and you guys will really enjoy it. There were one or two slower new songs that would likely be removed from a festival set.

Woah I did not realize some places are open til 5 on Saturdays in Chicago (first time for both my gf and I). I imagine we will still be up at that time so we will probably have to check out smartbar. Appreciate the info!

Another last-minute question: how is cell service inside the park? My wife may not show up until later in the day, so want to ensure that we can find each other.

obviously it gets worse later in the day, but it never gets Lollapalooza/Bonnaroo bad. you should be okay.

Thanks! The plan is to be there by 1 to catch Armand Hammer, then chill at the Blue Stage until AnCo and stick at the Green Stage for Phoebe. Although there may be a gametime decision to see part of Big Thief.

I saw Big Thief on their tour opener and it was amazing!! Highly recommend.

It shouldnt get ridiculous like other festivals. youll prob have spots when it wont work but texts will eventually go through. And its carrier dependant anyway. Youll probably be fine if youre on verizon, but ATT not so much.

We're on T-Mobile and US Mobile, guess we'll find out.
