I'm really bummed, but I had to cancel it, because, you know, life and all.

Hopefully, it'll be a great weekend for y'all.
That sucks. Sorry, man. Honestly, I hope they keep the dates in September. Did they announce next year already?

As stated, feb or so they announce dates but I doubt they keep it in Sept. There have been occasions where it was kind of obvious that a headliner they booked was coming through the city so the announce didnt happen til after. They waited til mid March in 2019 for Robyn for example. Neutral Milk Hotel was similar in 2014 with a date in Feb. Like Deafheaven are in Chicago March 14 2022. If theyre playing again, theres an announcement somewhere around that date. There will probably be some artists with random gaps around Chicago that surface eventually. considering RTJ has a tour gap again in July like they did for 2020, I expect them to headline. I think theyll just get the 3 original ones back and the rest of the acts who didnt make it this year and fill the rest in with new acts. Seems they will be able to satisfy everyone with a move like that. As nice as September is weather wise, it is a busy month now for fests in the u.s. Theyve still been able to get good line ups even with Lolla 2 or 3 weeks after them in the summer so why change that after 15 years. Ill see if I can poke around with some of the staff and such and see if theyre looking ahead.
Saw St. Vincent on the opening night of her tour last night. You guys are in for such a treat
Sounds good to me. How long was the set even with the double encore?
Phoebe started her tour last night also. The merch was on point so hopefully most of it is available.
My guess was like an hour and a half, unfortunately missed the first two songs and second encore bc my friend got out of work late and we wanted to beat traffic leaving. Full band set, cool stage setup, career spanning set, definitely not a tour to miss
We’ll see. Everyones gonna freak over festival flu again most likely. Glad I packed Claritan. Anyone that’s bringing a chair to sit and watch music is not going to enjoy the weekend as much.
I’m excited to see Animal Collectives set list from the tour opener tonight. Mostly I need to go into their set with reasonable expectations of whether or not it will primarily be debuting new material or if any of the deep cuts make the list. After Bonnaroo and Jacket Alpharetta cancellations I’ve put a lot of weight on this set and if it’s mostly new shit I’ll feel better knowing that before I go in. Really hoping for a banshee beat or Reverend Green

Trying to decide between the clash of AnCo and Kelly Lee Owens... already saw the latter in 2017 and doing AnCo would lead to a better spot for Phoebe. However, Inner Song is a solid record. What would y'all do?
