According to Pro Football Focus he is. Sorry if I trust their analysis more than yours.
On the season or overall? I will definitely not argue that kyler had a better season.
On the season. I don't think they have career ratings. But they do try to evaluate individual play, as opposed to team/winning, which is why Deshaun was third for them this season.

Kyler is better than Stafford. Stafford’s great but he doesn’t have the escapability, mobility, or unique play style of Kyler. Stafford’s best feature is probably his deep ball and Kyler’s is actually really underutilized.

Do you guys realize that Goff literally cannot read defenses and that McVay told him what defense he was up against literally every play? Stafford however put up better numbers than Goff last season while being sacked 15 more times- with a much worse defense, with a much worse head coach, with a much worse run game. Goff had success because of the system and is not worth almost 30m a year

Goff is not a true starting QB. He’s been holding back the Rams so much. Their window is closing - Stafford is a clear step up and as the only guy who told you guys 2 years ago Derrick Henry is a superstar, my opinion matters <s>
Edited to say: just because the cap hit isn’t horrible doesn’t make it not a horrible contract. If I gave John Wofford a 5 year $50M contract that’s still a terrible contract

Stafford's had seven more seasons in the NFL and Goff was in a system that was micromanaged so, yeah, Stafford definitely has more experience reading defense. Given.
Was Stafford sacked more because of his line or because he's considerably less mobile than Goff? Probably some of both.
I'm not sure exactly how much I would weigh the quality of each QB's defense in their statistical success.
Detroit's run game was worse than LA's. Part of that is because teams were worried about neutralizing their passing attack. There were no such concerns with Detroit so defenses played them more honestly and did fine.
McVay is a better coach than Patricia. That doesn't mean that the new regime in Detroit won't do a good job coaching Goff. Stafford's lack of success has gotten three head coaches fired. Goff hasn't gotten anybody fired.
Listen, I'm not saying that Stafford won't have success in LA or that Goff will have success in Detroit. I'm just saying that the disparity between the two QBs isn't the Brady to Leaf comparison that some are trying to infer. I think that Detroit got a great haul back and didn't risk much, especially given a new regime that is going to have time to rebuild in a division which looks to be primed for a new sheriff.
I mean John Wolford got the start over Goff in the divisional. I feel like that should say something
In the Wildcard? Two weeks after Goff had thumb surgery? Didn't he start the Divisional against the Packers?
Goff was active for the game and came in when Wolford got hurt and did well and then Wolford was still hurt the next week. If Wolford doesn't get concussed in the wild card then this trade probably doesn't even happen cause Goff wouldn't be touched with a 10 foot pole

Again, he had thumb surgery two weeks earlier. You're trying too hard.
