If the Jets were 6.5 pt favorites against Clemson, who you taking?
9.5?
The Jets, dude.
any NFL team could beat the best college team, probably even down to the third string A lot of college players on the best teams don’t even go to the NFL. Even if Lawrence is better than the average backup, the superior coaching and experience will always prevail.

Anyway go Cardinals
Pretty peeved that the Cardinals have delivered two monster performances in two weeks yet the announcers spent the last hour of the game only talking about Dallas. Bro talk about the winning team.

Exactly.
People said this about Duke and the Cleveland Cavaliers a couple years ago in the preseason. Then Duke lost six games: Gonzaga, unranked Syracuse, UNC twice, Virginia Tech, and Michigan State in the Elite Eight, so Duke didn't even make the Final Four. It's completely ridiculous.
People also said this about the USC Trojan team who lost to Texas in the Rose Bowl, and Matt Leinart had a trash pro career after winning the Heisman trophy. He started 18 games in the NFL. Reggie Bush was an ok NFL back but destroyed people in college, etc. People said they could beat the winless Lions team from a few years later.
It's my least favorite argument in sports.
Swinney is probably a better coach than Gase. That would essentially be their only advantage. Lawrence is great and all, but put him up against an NFL defense with no experience and he would most likely get completely lit up. Murray's QBR in his rookie year was 58, 16th in the league. Mahomes's, who might be the best quarterback to ever play the game when all is said and done, was 61.8, good for 21st in the league.
The Jets are trash for an NFL team. That still makes them at-worst the 32nd best football team in the world right now, and the gap between them and 33rd is bigger than the gap between them and 1st.

Is that Mahomes' rookie season, where he only started one game? His first full season was his MVP year

Fair point. Missed that. Probably why I needed to deselect eligible players only (lol).
Still probably counts for something that he started one game, threw a pick, 289 yards, and no TDs. He wasn't ready to go right away. And that's with a full season's worth of NFL practices and coaching. (It was the sixteenth game of the year and Alex Smith started the WC game).

Do you disagree with my overall premise?
not at all! The worst NFL team would absolutely destroy the best college team. Also I'm pretty sure that one game he started, most of the starters sat. Fuck, why am I defending Mahomes, fuck the Chiefs

Maybe if you put together a college all star team. Lawrence, ETN, Najee, Waddle, Devonta Smith, Kyle Pitts, Derek Stingley, etc.

Fun Fact:
[Reggie] Bush is the first running back in league history to finish the season with 10 or more carries and gain negative yards since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger, according to Pro Football Reference.

against the Jets? That’s hard to say really because that means none of those players have any development. I think the coaching and experience of the NFL would prevail there.

Plus even the smartest college QB probably wouldn't be able to recognize a large majority of NFL defensive schemes. They would continuously get baited into throwing INTs.

Apparently Cowboys players are anonymously relaying to reporters that the coaching staff "just aren't good at their jobs", which may be true, but it's funny if the implication is that the players ARE good at their jobs. The coaches didn't make Zeke fumble twice, for example. Zeke did take the blame for that, so he's probably not one of the ones talking shit. Idk. What a mess. Dak deserves everything he can get. He's still leading the league in passing yards, btw.
I got a trade offer: Davante Adams for Russell Wilson. I have Adams. Currently QB is Stafford.
This seems odd to me.
Idk whether you should make the trade or not, but Stafford is like QB20 and Wilson is QB1. In standard scoring, Wilson averages 30/game to Stafford's 18. Wilson would be a massive upgrade. It's not that weird, imo.
TNF - Giants @ Philadelphia (Fox/NFLN) SNF - Tampa Bay @ Raiders (NBC) MNF - Bears @ Rams (ESPN)
CBS has the double-header this week. For the early game, the vast majority of the country will get Pittsburgh @ Tennessee with Buffalo @ NYJ and Cleveland @ Cincinnati being the other options. The late game is split between San Francisco @ New England and KC @ Denver. Jacksonville @ Chargers is a localized game. Fox is all regional this week. See the maps below:
CBS Early:
Red - Pittsburgh @ TN Purple - Buffalo @ Jets Green - Cleveland @ Cincinnati
CBS Late:
Red - 49ers @ New England Purple - KC @ Denver Green - Jags @ Chargers
Fox:
Red - Dallas @ WFT Purple - Green Bay @ Houston Yellow - Panthers @ Saints Orange - Lions @ Falcons Green - Seattle @ Cardinals (late)
My original QB in that league was Dak, I ended up with Stafford, btw.
I also got offered Russ for an elite WR when I lost Dak in a league. Was lucky that I could snag Tannehill in FA.
That was me trying to help us both out. I offered you Wilson who will likely be the highest scoring fantasy player in the league because I wanted an elite WR and was gonna gamble on Rodgers. I tried for Tyreek and some other QB for Wr trades. I get it- a lot of folks would rather mix/match Qbs and keep their elite WRs. Some of them are making the right move and some of them are deep enough that they probs should have traded. 30 Automatic points at the top is a big advantage each week.
